Directions to NIU NIU's main campus in DeKalb, Illinois, is located 1.5 miles north of the Ronald Reagan Memorial (I-88). The city is also accessible via state highways 38 and 23. First-time visitors exiting from the I-88 are advised to use the Annie Glidden exit as this is the most clearly marked approach to the campus.

Exit: Annie Glidden Road (Second DeKalb exit if traveling from the east, first exit if approaching from the west.)
