Church Maintenance Levy: We are grateful to receive $ this past weekend from families who used their boxed envelopes. This campaign was

initiated years ago with the intent that each family give what they could, but $50.00 at that time was suggested. For your convenience you may

Diocesan News “Why Faith” is the title of our YOUTH RALLY this year for high school aged young people which will be held this Sunday, 24 November from

noon to 4:00 p.m. at St. Ninian’s Place in Antigonish. There is no charge and pizza will be served. Come and learn about your faith.

St. F. X. U. Alumni: The annual gathering of alumni of St. Francis Xavier University will take place 3 December at St. Theresa Parish Hall at

7:00 p.m. All alumni. spouses, and friends are invited and encouraged to attend. Mass to celebrate the feast day of St. Francis Xavier will be

followed by a short AGM. Of course, there will be something to eat and then door prizes will be drawn around 8:00 p.m.

In 2015 Pope Francis made us aware of the need to protect the environment in his encyclical “Laudato Si”. His message has stirred Development

& Peace to choose “For our Common Home” at its’ theme for the next two years. You can “Defend the Defenders” by signing a Solidarity Letter

addressed to two communities threatened by ‘mining and logging’ in Brazil or you may want to take the intergenerational pledge by visiting the D

& P website and choose your own personal commitment for taking better care of our Earth. Please don’t hesitate to consult the Action Sheet, the

Advent Pause: A 90 minute mini-retreat focusing on Eucharist to enjoy with your family, friends in ministry, committees/councils. This activity is

part of the lead up to the Diocesan Eucharistic Congress (June 12,13,14, 2020). Everything you need to host the retreat (leader's guide, handouts,

The Municipality of the County of Antigonish could like to invite residents to the Warden’s Tour in St. Andrews on Tuesday, 10 December at

7:00 p.m. The session will take place in the Seniors Room at the St. Andrew’s Community Centre. Join Warden McCarron for a meet and greet,

share ideas and connect with us.

Once again this year the Pomquet Parish Seniors Club will be hosting a Christmas Turkey Dinner for Pomquet Parish seniors (60 and up) on

Sunday, 1 December at 12:00 noon at the Rev. P. J. Baccardax Hall (upstairs). Tickets are $12.00 each and must be purchased by November

Pomquet Parish Seniors Christmas Baskets: For the past number of years, Pomquet Development Society members have been preparing and

delivering Christmas Baskets for the Seniors of our Parish who are over 80 years old. In order to avoid missing anyone, please contact Colette at

902-870-3051, and let her know the names of any of Seniors who have turned 80 in the last year or anyone we may have missed last year who

were 80 years of age or older . If you received a basket last year, there is no need to contact us. Thank you all!

The Pomquet SASC knitting group will be taking a break over the Christmas holidays. We will continue to meet on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. until

12 December, which will be our last meeting of 2019, and will resume in the New Year on Thursday, 9 January. All are welcome to the group; no
