Now there is nothing wrong with that, but the word of God tells us that we should be in a continual, daily attitude of thanksgiving. In Ephesians 5:19-20, the Bible tell us to “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” So may this month; this next year; our whole lives, be filled with thanksgiving for all that the LORD has done. PASTOR’S MESSAGEOur history shows the following proclama-tion made by Governor Bradford in 1623, three years after the Pilgrims settled at Plymouth:

“To All Ye Pilgrims,Inasmuch as the great father has given us this year an abundant harvest of Indian corn, wheat, peas, squashes and garden vegetables, and has made the forests to abound with game and the sea with fish and clams, and inas-much as he has protected us from the raids of the savages, has spared us from pestilence and disease, has granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience; now I, your magistrate, do proclaim that all ye Pilgrims, with your wives and ye little ones, do gather at ye meeting house, on ye hill, between the hours of 9 and 12 in the day time, on Thurs-day November ye 29th of the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and twenty three, and the third year since ye Pilgrims landed on ye Plymouth rock, there to listen to ye pastor and render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings.”

This is our country’s legacy—a faith in God alone. Thursday, November 26th is the day we set aside in our busy schedules to give special thanks to God. Now there is nothing wrong with that, but the word of God tells us that we should be in a continual, daily attitude of thanksgiving.

In Ephesians 5:19-20, the Bible tell us to “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” So may this month; this next year; our whole lives, be filled with thanksgiving for all that the LORD has done.

connection groups Are you ready to take your prayer life to the next level? We just completed the outstanding Bible study series called “War Room” based on the popular and powerful movie. The War Room study is a call to battle on our knees in prayer—a type of “back to basics boot camp” on the foundations of prayer.

The next Wednesday Connection Groups study is

“The Battle Plan for Prayer” and will continue to build off the foundations of the War Room study. The new series will start Wednesday, November 4th, and will teach us the dynamics of how to battle and how to strategically prepare and fight for different aspects of our life. Starting November 4th, the upstairs Connection Groups will go back to having men-only and women-only groups. The women’s group will focus on battle plans for serious, specific and strategic prayers that affect a woman most. The men’s study will be geared more towards men being prayer leaders in their homes and the struggles they face. Come join us for this hands-on, knees-down, never-give-up action guide to practical purposeful prayer. “The Prayer of the righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16b (NIV)

beautiful Southern California? Come be a part of

“Living Waters Got Talent” The Media and Drama Department is sponsoring an All-Church BBQ Picnic and Softball game at Mile Square Park

Saturday December 5th from 9am - 1pm.

We will be filming footage at the event for our first short film about WAMM (our church mission).

We need lots of extras including a few people to work the “concession stand,” a dozen individuals (teens and adults) to play on the two co-ed softball teams, and people of all ages to sit in the bleachers and cheer! Stop by the table outside the Sanctuary for more info and to sign up!

prayer shawl ministry The Prayer Shawl Ministry was blessed to present 19 Prayer Shawls to the single moms. Some of the stories were heart breaking and we will continue to pray for the ladies that received the prayer shawls. We have many prayer

shawls left for people going through trials. Please contact the office, Penny or anyone in the Prayer Shawl ministry. May God bless you as you reach out in His love.

single moms food give-awaySeptember 26, 2015, was Hope Fulfilled’s 10th Anniversary of helping single moms in the Orange County area. We were able to bless 151 mothers with 368 children. We thank all 100 different volunteers who helped on the day of the event, and the three days leading up to it. We had over 12,000 pounds of grocery items. We thank all the stores in the Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach area that donated food items, gift cards and cases of water. We thank the Lord first and foremost for faithfully meeting our need for another year—and best of all, we had

57 salvations! The Hope Fulfilled team members are so grateful for the love and concern you have showed these single moms with the ever-increasing cost of groceries. We especially thank the prayer warriors and the prayer shawls that were distributed to those mothers who needed God’s extended hand. For the coming Christmas Season, we need gift cards for these single Moms from any of the following stores: Walmart, Target, and Grocery stores (Stater Brothers, Albertsons, Ralphs, etc.).
