El Señor, tu Dios, es el que te introduce a

esa tierra buena, tierra de arroyos y de vertientes, de aguas subterráneas que brotan

en los valles y en las montañas Deut. 8, 7

But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Nadie conoce el día ni la hora. Ni los ángeles del

cielo ni el Hijo; solamente el Padre

NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY OR THE HOUR.

By this time, back in the year 2012,

we were preparing for the end of the world,

according to the remarkable Prophets, which

would happen on December 22. Due to this,

people were terrified. The fatal date arrived

and yet nothing occurred! The false prophets

became invisible and none said “ this mouth is

mine”; surely they are preparing to prophesy a

new end to the world and again many will

believe because as fools no one can beat us.

There are religions, such as the

Jehovah's Witnesses, that still maintain in their

followers a constant fear towards the end of

the world. The date for the end changes at will

and yet there followers remain faithful to the

belief.

The Catholic Church teaches in its

doctrine that, certainly, there will be an end of the world and a

second coming of Jesus Christ as Lord and judge. The Church also

teaches us what Jesus reveals, "no one knows the day or the hour.

Nor the angels of heaven nor the Son, as only the Father", that is to

say: "God only knows" and not just any prophet that feels illuminated

and that enjoys terrorizing those naive enough to believe.

Also the Church teaches us that the second coming of

Christ is not a reason for terror, but of real joy. Already the first

Christians repeated with hope "Maranatha, Jesus", come Lord Jesus

they said with sincerity. How can you not rejoice before the return of

a friend?

We do not know when Jesus will return, but each one of us

will have, with all safety, the chance to meet with him and it will

depend on us to be a joyful encounter. We will all have a particular

end of the world and we should be well prepared for that significant

event for our eternal life.

A few days ago Mr. Miguel passed away; He lay alive

Sunday night and no longer awoke on Monday. Humanly speaking,

from what we knew, he had a beautiful death because we feel he

was ready for that moment. In his last years he approached God

and became a faithful friend who stood guard before the Blessed

Sacrament in the nocturnal adoration and tried to learn more about

Jesus in the School of Pastoral Care. His last Sunday here on earth

he attended Mass and took communion and then socialized with his

family. These given circumstances would make a person want to

die.

If we live prepared to die, we would not have as much fear

of death or the end of the world; we would see it as something very

natural, all that are born will have to die. We would see death as the

well-deserved break after this "valley of tears" in which we live. Love

life and live it in God, is the best way to prepare for our end of the

world, to start that new life we hope for in the eternal house of our

Father in heaven.

NADIE SABE EL DIA, NI LA HORA

Para estas fechas, allá en el año de

2012, nos preparábamos para el fin del

mundo, que según los notables profetas,

sucedería el 22 de diciembre, y la gente

estaba aterrorizada. Llegó la fecha fatal ¡y no

sucedió nada! Los falsos profetas se hicieron

invisibles y ninguno dijo “esta boca es mía”;

seguramente se están preparando para

profetizar un nuevo fin del mundo y volverán a

ser creídos porque a tontos nadie nos gana.

Hay religiones, como los Testigos de

Jehová, que existen todavía manteniendo en

sus seguidores un constante miedo al fin del

mundo cuya fecha cambian a voluntad ¡y sus

fieles siguen creyéndolos!

La Iglesia Católica enseña en su

doctrina que, ciertamente, habrá un fin del

mundo y una segunda venida de Jesucristo como juez y Señor,

pero también nos enseña lo que Jesús nos dice de que “nadie sabe

ni el día ni la hora. Ni los ángeles del cielo ni el Hijo, tan sólo el

Padre”, es decir: “sólo Dios sabe” y no cualquier profeta que se

siente iluminado y que gusta de aterrorizar a los ingenuos que le

creen.

También nos enseña la Iglesia que esa segunda venida

de Cristo no es motivo de terror, sino de verdadero gozo. Ya los

primeros cristianos repetían esperanzados “Maranahtá, Jesús”, ven,

Señor Jesús y lo decían con sinceridad. ¿Cómo puede no alegrarse

el amigo ante el retorno de su amigo?

No sabemos cuándo regresará Jesús, pero cada uno de

nosotros tendrá, con toda seguridad, la oportunidad de encontrarse

con él y de nosotros depende el que sea un encuentro gozoso.

Todos tendremos nuestro fin del mundo particular y

deberíamos estar bien preparados para ese acontecimiento

trascendental para nuestra vida eterna.

Hace unos días murió don Miguel; se acostó vivo en la

noche del domingo y ya no amaneció el lunes. Humanamente

hablando, hasta donde nosotros podemos saber, tuvo una muerte

bonita porque sentimos que estaba preparado para ese momento.

En sus últimos años se acercó a Dios y se convirtió en un amigo fiel

que hacía guardia ante el Santísimo Sacramento en la Adoración

Nocturna y trató de conocer más a Jesús en la Escuela de Pastoral.

Su último domingo aquí en la tierra asistió a misa y comulgó y

después convivió con su familia. ¡Así dan ganas de morirse!

Si nosotros viviéramos preparados para morir, no le

tendríamos tanto miedo a la muerte ni al fin del mundo; lo veríamos

como algo muy natural: todos los que nacemos tendremos que

morir. Veríamos la muerte como el descanso merecido después de

este “valle de lágrimas” en el que nos toco vivir. Amar la vida y

vivirla en Dios es la mejor forma de prepararnos para nuestro fin del

mundo, para iniciar esa nueva vida que esperamos en la casa

eterna de nuestro Padre del cielo.

They will be with us on Saturday 21 to sing in the evening Mass and then giving us a Concert that promise to be an unique expe-rience of energy and joy. Part of their experience is to be housed with host families to have the opportunity of knowing more of the culture of every place they are visiting. PRESENTATON OF YOUR CHILDREN.- On Saturday, November 21, the Church commemorates the Presentation of the Virgin Mary into the Temple to be consecrated to God. Following the tradition, on that same day we will have a Mass at 12 p.m. At Saint Joseph´s Church to consecrate your children to God.

Fue en Polonia en 1975 , mientras servía en la gran Catedral del país cuando Jon Stemkoki oyó el llamado de Dios de una forma nueva. ¨Lleva el mensaje de una vida nueva en Cristo a todo el mun-do… donde mi luz se ha opa-cado y mi voz se ha reducido¨. En respuesta a este llamado, Jon fundó CELEBRANT SIN-GERS, un ministerio interna-cional de música y misión que ha movilizado y llevado a mas de 3,000 misioneros musicales a servir en todos los 50 esta-dos, todo Canadá y 97 países. PRESENTACION DE NIÑOS.- El Sábado 21 de Noviembre, La Iglesia recuerda que la Virgen María fue presentada al Templo para ser consagrada a Dios. Siguiendo esta tradición, ese día a las 12 p.m. En la Parro-quia de San José tendremos la Misa de Presen-tación en la que pueden traer a sus hijos para ser consagrados a Dios.

MISION GUADALUPANA La Misión Guadalupana se está llevando a cabo en Nuestra Comunidad Parroquial, incluyendo Bridgeport y Lee Vining. Cada semana una nueva Familia recogerá el Cuadro de la Virgen Peregrina y la llevará a su casa donde todos los vecinos serán invitados para que participen del Santo Rosario y de los temas de Evangelización impartidos por un par de Misioneros que acompañarán a la Familia durante la Semana. Los Viernes, El Padre Jorge celebrará la Santa Misa en esa casa y habrá convivio. Esta Familia entregará la Imagen a otra nueva Familia que será acompañada durante la semana por otros misioneros. MISSION OF GUADALUPE

The Guadalupe Mission is taking place in Our Community Parish, including Bridgeport and Lee Vining. Each week a new family will take with them the Pilgrim Image of the Virgin of Guadalupe and take it home, where all the neighbors will be invited to participate in the Rosary and taught the subjects of evangelization for a few missionaries to accompany the family during the week. On Friday’s, Father Jorge will celebrate Mass in that house and there will be fellowship. This family will deliver the image to a new family. It will be accompanied during the week by other missionaries. If you want to receive the Pilgrim image of the Virgin of Guadalupe in your house, please give your details to Ms. Marisela Ayala at (760) 914-0575 or give your information to Father Jorge.
