Trot
On Friday, November 16th, 2012, we will host the fifth
annual Fall Creek Turkey Trot. Parents, neighbors, fac-
ulty and staff are all invited to come out and trot with
the students. All grade levels will be able to partici-
pate according to the schedule below. Guests who
come to the school to trot will have their laps counted
for the class/student for which they choose. Guests in
strollers are welcome but their laps will not count. Due
to safety reasons, we ask that all pets be left at home.
Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and a
good pair of tennis shoes. For further details, feel free
to contact Coach James via phone or email. Ready,
set, …Trot!!!!!Trot!!!!!Trot!!!!!Trot!!!!!
We still need plenty of volunteers to run the Turkey
Trot - 8 per grade. Please sign up for the time slots
before or after your child’s trot, so you can participate
in the event with your child. Go to www.fcpto.com/
volunteer and sign up ONLINE by clicking the SIGN
UP GENIUS button under Turkey Trot. By clicking here,
the event page will pop up and you can make your
choice of time slot. You might have to set up a pass-
word if it is the very first time you sign up, but don’t
worry, that’s the only time you’ll have to do it!

NEW NEW PTO Webpage NEW NEW
Our PTO has launched a NEW WEBPAGE just for you:
www.fcpto.com
FCE PTO wants to improve the information exchange with
all of the parents. We would like to introduce our organiza-
tion to you as well as get ideas and feedback from you: Go
to our webpage and discover what Parent Teacher Organi-
zation is all about!
You can also access the new PTO webpage through the
FCE Home Page http://www.humbleisd.net/fce by clicking
on PTO under Quick Links on the left hand side.
This week’s Focus: VOLUNTEERING
Click on the volunteer tab once you’re on the PTO web-
page. You will find greetings from our Volunteer Coordina-
tor Hazel Edwards and a list of upcoming events at school that rely on volunteers. Most of our events need plenty of
volunteers and that’s where YOU can help.
Under each upcoming event you will find a button from
SIGN UP GENIUS. By clicking that button the event page
opens showing shifts, times, and the kind of volunteers
needed. You can choose the best option for you and sign
in with your email address and your name. If you sign up
for the very first time, it will ask you to set up a password –
don’t worry, that is only required once.
This process will save paper and make the handling of vol-
unteers much easier!
Next event is TURKEY TROT! Why don’t you try it out right
now?
We are still working on various pages – bear with us and
please let us know what is missing and what you are notic-
ing by emailing to [email protected].
2012 Season
of Sharing
Humble Area Assistance
Ministries
To benefit Christmas holiday Meals and Gifts
It might feel a little early to be thinking about Christmas, but
the community needs our help. In 2011, over 7387 Holiday Food Baskets were given at HAAM and 2,563 children re-
ceived toys through our Empty Stocking Toy Drive. Your
2012 gift can help us make the wonderful SEASON OF SHAR-
ING program successful. We are depending on the generos-
ity of the churches, businesses, civic organizations and indi-
viduals to help make this happen again in 2012. Fall Creek
Elementary will be collecting donations starting November
26th - December 6th. Please consider sharing your blessings
by making a donation today. Here are some ways you can
