A Note from Pastor Phillips:
Thank you for coming to worship with us today. If you are a first-time visitor, I would sure like the opportunity to meet you and welcome you personally. Because I believe in a Sovereign God, I don’t believe anything happens by chance. I believe you were brought here today for a purpose. I would love to help you dis-cover that purpose, and to see if there is any way we as a church can bless and minister to you and your family. Please stop by the Resource Center after the service so I can shake your hand. I’d sure count it a privilege.
THANK YOU, VETERANS! We thank and honor the veterans who have selflessly served to secure and preserve our liberties! We will never be able to repay you for your dedicated service!
SCHOOL BOARD MEETING : The date for the November school board meeting has been changed to Monday, November 20.
PRESCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION: Please help us support the efforts of our preschool by donating the “supply of the month.” Throughout November, we are collecting Clorox wipes. Donations may be placed in the plastic bin just outside the preschool office (also known as the Sunday School office). Thank you!
LORD’S SUPPER & BAPTISM: The next Lord’s Supper will take place Sunday, November 26 during the 6:00 p.m. worship service. We will also have baptism service at that time. If you are interested in being baptized, please call the church office.
HOLIDAY HELP REFERRALS: The holidays will be here before you know it! If your family (or a family you know of who attends our church) is in financial difficulty & needs holiday help, please con-tact Amanda in the church office. Today is the deadline for Thanks-giving AND Christmas help referrals.
SPECIAL BUSINESS MEETING: We are making exciting plans for our church, and are holding a special business meeting to invite your input and support for the growth our church is experiencing. Be sure to attend the next Business Meeting next Sunday, Novem-ber 19 at 6:00 p.m. We will be discussing plans for the building expansion and our vision for the growth of the Lord’s ministry at Pleasant View Baptist Church and Preschool. Don’t miss the oppor-tunity to be directly involved in what the Lord has for us!

Thank you for joining us today for worship. Your presence was a blessing.
If you are interested in learning about church membership, we have a “First Steps” class which meets in room 122 at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday. It’s a great place to start!
If there is any way that our church can as-sist you or your family, please contact the office at 410-378-4476.
We pray that you have been blessed, and have found that coming to Pleasant View
Baptist Church is truly . . . like coming home.
Pleasant View Baptist Church is a smoke-free campus. We encourage you to re-frain from smoking while on the premis-es. If you must smoke while here, please do so in your car. If you have any ques-tions, please ask one of our Pastors.

To serve God is a blessing. To serve God in and alongside a group of believers like our Pleasant View family is an overwhelm-ing blessing. I am proud to be your Pastor, not because of any-thing I have done, but because of the work the Lord is doing in and through you! Corkie and I are very grateful for the generous Pastor Appreciation gifts, but even more so for the love behind them. We consider you all our extended family, and love you very much.
Love, Pastor Harold and Corkie
Jaclyn and I want to express our thanks for your gifts in honor of Pastor Appreciation Month. But your gifts of prayer, love and support have been with us all year long, through Sadie’s illnesses this year, our busy work schedules at the church and preschool, the final steps of my getting my Doctorate, and the ups and downs of everyday living. We thank you for all of it, and we love you.
Love, Pastor Josh & Jaclyn
In the busy pace of day-to-day life, appreciation often gets lost in the shuffle. Four our church family to fill the month of October with expressions of thanks for your pastors says a lot. It lets us know that you see the work we put in and the heart behind it. In return, let us thank YOU for your gener-ous gifts, and also for allowing Mindy and me the privilege of spending time with your children. To see them maturing in the Lord is a constant gift to us.
Love, Pastor Paul and Mindy
To be able to preach the love of Jesus to your children and grandchildren -- what an awesome privilege! Every Sunday morning I get to experience Jesus through their young eyes. I get to relive and relearn the Sermon on the Mount, the Feeding of the Five Thousand, and all those Bible stories that build young believers into strong soldiers in the Lord’s Army. That in itself deserves my gratitude, but adding your Pastor Appreciation gifts on top of that is nearly overwhelming! Char and I are blessed to say the least. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Love, Pastor Mike and Char

Our public servants and first responders are facing more dangerous and uncertain times in their occupations these days. While we watch the news and shake our heads at the senseless acts of those who seemingly care only about making headlines, our men and women are out there on the front lines, putting themselves between us and danger.
Please pray for those in our church and church family members who are serving as police officers, firefighters and emergency medi-cal technicians. To add a name to this prayer list, please call the of-fice so we can support him/her in prayer. Thank you.

T H A N K Y O U !
Dear Pleasant View: With very grateful hearts, we say thank you for all of you who reached out to us during this very trying time. The gifts of clothing, household and personal items, money, meals, prayers and words of concern not only met our physical needs, but blessed us beyond words.
Darren & Sherry Jones & Girls
The Johnson/Merriman/England family extends its most sincere thanks and best wishes to the members of Pleasant View Baptist Church for the kindness, support and generosity shared with El-lie Johnson during her lengthy battle with lymphoma. We are so grateful for the many prayers, good food, monies, and other gifts offered by your fellowship that helped us during her strug-gles. Thank you for exemplifying the body of Christ through your good works offered to the glory of God the Father.
