Cdr. Michael (Mike) J. Knapp,Assistant to the Director of Supply,who has been at NOTS Pasadenasince April 1955, left last week forhis new job as Logistics Officer,Service Force, Apantic Fleet, Nor-folk, Virginia. ' . ~

Mike joined the Navy in 1934, im­mediately after graduatIng fromHigh School. He attended HarvardUniversity while in the service andreceived a master's degree in busi­ness administration.

During World War II, he servedi!l Guam, -Okinawa, and China. Heholds the American Defense andAmerican and Pacific Zone Thea­ter -Ribbons as well as the WorldWar II Victory medal and -ribbonsfor duty in the 'Korean Campaign.

Before -coming 'to NOTS Pasa­dena, Cdr. Knapp served 'as SupplyOfficer- on the repair ship USS Del­ta.
