Individuals undertaking this unit will consider the ethical status and appropriate legal regulation of a range of medical issues including genetic engineering, stem cell research, assisted reproductive technology, abortion, wrongful birth and wrongful life actions, the medical treatment of children, the medical treatment of persons with impaired ability to consent, euthanasia and organ donation and transplantation. Presenter: Dr Greg Walsh BSc, LLB, GDLP, LLM, PhD. Dr Walsh is a Senior Lecturer at The School of Law of the University of Notre Dame Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Laws/Science degree from The Australian National University and a Master of Laws from The University of Sydney. He has worked in various legal roles in Australia and overseas, including as a prosecutor and a medical negligence solicitor.
