Skills Motor Coaches was established in Nottingham in 1919 by founder Arthur Skill and has been providing quality coach trips for almost a century.

Originally founded by Arthur Skill, Skills retains its family-run origins and is currently run by Nigel Skill, the grandson of Arthur Skill. Combining both companies’ deep rooted histories enables us to provide an excellent day excursion programme servicing our local community in partnership with Notcutts Wheatcroft.

Notcutts have teamed up with Skills of Nottingham to provide you with convenience for booking your Notcutts days out by coach. You can book either by phone or enquire at our garden centre.

Tatton Park is one of the UK’s most complete historic estates. It is home to a Tudor Old Hall, Neo-Classical Mansion, 50 acres of landscape gardens, a rare-breed farm and deer park. The 50 acres of

beautiful gardens reflect over 250 years of garden design and are renowned for their remarkable glasshouses, the Japanese Garden which are

considered the finest in Europe. You can also take a wander through the mansion and view the magic of

Set in the heart of a 10,000 acre estate, the extremely tranquil and extensive gardens at Castle Ashby are not

to be missed. The splendour of the gardens includes the Butterfly Gardens, Formal Italian Gardens and Orangery as well as the colourful Fuchsia House and picturesque

Rainbow borders. You can also visit the plant centre, farmyard, tearoom and gift shop. After our visit to the

gardens we take a short drive to the Castle Ashby Village where a variety of local crafts come together with a delicatessen offering delicious treats to take home.

WITLEY COURT & GARDENSWednesday 7th August

Witley Court was once one of the Midlands great houses, before becoming an astonishing ruin after

being devastated by fire in 1937. Following the fire, the Witley estate fell into a long decline before the south gardens were restored by English Heritage.

Surrounded by magnificent landscaped gardens and containing huge stone fountains as well as showpiece

woodland walks in the North Park, this really is an enchanting day out. En route home we take a stop in

the beautiful city of Worcester.

Southport flower show is the largest and longest running independent flower show in the UK. Set in

the grounds of Victoria Park it features stunning show gardens, the finest flower and vegetable displays,

specialist foods, books and celebrity guests. Unlike other flower shows, it also offers a lot more than just flowers, from cookery demonstrations, a North West

Book Festival, music, and horse riding displays.
