Back up Notability to Google or Dropbox

Notability has several built-in syncing options so you should never have to worry about your notes being lost. This document will show you how to back Notability up to Google Drive or Dropbox. Do not skip any steps.

The first step is to go to the App Store and either download the Dropbox OR the Google Drive (not Google Docs) app.

SIGN IN to the app that you just downloaded (create an account if you need to)

Go to Notability and touch the GEAR icon

Under the “Auto backup” menu, touch the name of the backup method you’re using (google drive or dropbox) !If you see a little gear icon next to one of these, you may already have it set up. Skip to last step if you see the gear next to Dropbox or Google Drive.

Grant Notability any permissions that Dropbox or Google Drive ask for

When you see this message, you have set it up correctly.

After a few minutes, go to the Dropbox or Google Drive app and look for a Notability folder. Make sure it’s full of recent files. If it’s not, come see me and I can help you out.

This is how you know it’s working (it will say Backing up at the bottom)
