Skin cancer screenings offered

The Health Wagon will be offering free skincancer screenings as part of its annual communi-ty health fair.

Dr. Teresa Gardner emphasized the impor-tance of having skin cancer screenings.

“Skin cancer, when caught early, has a 98 per-cent survival rate and I encourage everyone totake advantage of this.” Gardner said.

Dr. Randy Gordon will conduct the skin cancerscreenings on April 13 at Zion Family Ministriesin Wise and on April 14 at Valley View FreewillBaptist Church in Clintwood.

Gordon has worked in family practice and fornearly 10 years in private dermatology practice.His clinical expertise includes skin cancerscreening as well as general dermatology. Allservices offered as part of the health fair are freeof charge. Appointments are not required.
