VBS—Adventures in Universe City “Seeking God Everywhere” July 29-August 1
Our Vacation Bible School this year is centered
around seeking God everywhere in the world, galaxy,
universe and beyond! It will be from 6:00 to 8:00
each evening Sunday through Wednesday.
Invite your friends and neighbors.
You may register your kids with Amanda or Jacob in
the lobby after services today or call the church
office during the week.
VBS Speaker for the Adults
Mike O’Neal worked for NASA at the Kennedy Space
Center for over 31 years, where he was awarded the
Agency’s Outstanding Leadership Medal and two Excep-
tional Service Medals. Prior to his retirement he com-
pleted a special assignment with the Florida Space Re-
search Institute, where he investigated mechanisms to
provide spiritual support for astronauts on long-duration
missions. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Central Florida, a
Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Florida Institute of
Technology, and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from the Harding
School of Theology. He is the author of two books published by 21st Cen-
tury Christian, An Angel’s View: Encountering God through the Stories of the
Heavenly Hosts and Holy God, Holy People which is part of their FLEX Adult
Bible study series. He is currently writing a book on the role of spirituality in
the U.S. Space Program. Mike speaks professionally on the topics of his
books, as well as the subject of spirituality and spaceflight
(see www.angelquakeministries.com).
Mike preaches part-time at the East Orange Church of Christ in Orlando, FL.
He and his wife Carol have two children, live in Titusville, FL, and are mem-
bers of the North Brevard Church of Christ.

VBS is for Adults Too!
For the adults we have Mike O’Neal from the North Brevard Church of Christ in
Orlando, who will present exciting messages all four nights. See the flyer in the
lobby for a short summary of each session. His presentations are from his book An
Angel’s View: Encountering God through the Stories of the Heavenly Hosts.
Spirituality and Spaceflight (Sunday Night, July 29)
The Holiness of God: Angels Worship & Praise (Monday Night, July 30)
The Love of God: Angels and the Redemption Story (Tuesday Night, July 31)
An Angel’s View: The Crucifixion & Resurrection (Wednesday Night, August 1)
These presentations tie in very nicely with this year’s theme of “Adventures in Uni-
verse City—Seeking God Everywhere”. You won’t want to miss any of these intrigu-
ing lessons Mike has to offer which include his personal experiences during the
Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy. (See his bio on the cover)

Keith’s Kitchen…
Keith’s Kitchen is an op-
portunity to support our
work in Honduras. Each
Wednesday at 6:15PM
Keith prepares a deli-
cious meal. The teens help with the
dessert, drinks and clean-up. All
proceeds go to the accounts of stu-
dents who help. There is no set fee
but your generous checks should be
made to Tampa Youth Missions.
Meals are suspended until after VBS.
They will resume on Wednesday,
August 8th. If you or your child
plans to go on next years trip, we
need someone from each family to
sign up to bring dessert. A calendar
sign-up sheet is on the bulletin
board so please pick your weeks.
REVOLVE…
Our Local Missions Project was very
productive last week, in spite of all
the rainy weather. To quote Matt, “it
was amazing to see Christ working
out His will here in Tampa. What a
great youth group we have! Thanks
to everyone for your support and
prayers.” Thanks to the adults that
worked along with the teens. Look
for some pictures and more details in
the bulletin next week.
SonQuest…
SonQuest is the annual youth event
sponsored by the churches of Christ
which takes place every Labor Day
weekend in Orlando for upcoming
6th—12th graders. To register you
must go online to our church web-
site at www.tampachurch.org. A
$50 deposit is required. The dead-
line to register is next Sunday, July
29. For questions please see Matt
Bancroft.

Photo Directory…
We are ready to begin taking
member pictures again. Our
picture board still needs to be
updated as does our church
website. If you have not had a
recent picture taken (within the last
year), please stop by room #3 before
service or after Bible class. One of the
staff will be available to take your pic-
ture. Or, if you don’t see anyone, just
seek out Tonia, Matt or Shirley and let
them know you are ready. It only takes
a couple minutes. Meanwhile, go to

nice all the new pictures look.
