Northern Lights Ranch is a boutique hotel nearly 200 km above the Arctic Circle and 30 km from Kittilä airport. Finland’s largest year-round-resort of Levi is also only 15 km away offering a huge variety of other activities and excursions.

Northern Lights Ranch combines tranquility, pure air and beautiful nature into an Arctic experience which is rare to come by. Northern Lights Ranch offers exquisite accommodation in Sky View Cabins which all feature huge glass windows and heated glass roofs making the cabins ideal for viewing the surrounding nature and the Northern sky. As the name indicates, Northern Lights Ranch is situated in an ideal location for having the best possibility for seeing the amazing Northern Lights which are very often visible from September until April.

The very individual form of accommodation is topped off with delicious meals served in the rustic and atmospheric restaurant of Northern Lights Ranch. The chefs take a lot of pride in using a lot of local ingredients and recipes when creating delicious Arctic flavours for the guests to enjoy in the cozy and intimate setting.

NORTHERN LIGHTS RANCH

Despite the ideal location of Northern Lights Ranch, at times the Northern Lights must be chased. Therefore, the highlight of the Northern Lights with Arctic Flavours package is the Aurora Chase.

The Aurora Chase takes place on the 2nd night of the 3-night stay after dinner when the guests will join the Aurora Chase organized by Northern Lights and photography specialists from Arctic Frontier. They will take the guests to places where the greatest chances of seeing the Northern Lights are on the given night.

During the Aurora Chase, the guests will capture extraordinary memories by learning to take their own photographs of the Northern Lights. The guides will share how the rhythms of the aurora are enhanced with a few simple camera techniques, and then the Chase begins. The duration of the Aurora Chase is approx. 4–5 hours. High quality cameras and all other photography equipment is provided for the guests, including memory cards to keep and no prior photography experience is needed.

Please note that there can never be a 100% guarantee of seeing the Northern Lights during the chase, but last autumn and winter the success rate was 90%.

• Participation on the guided Aurora Chase provided by Arctic Frontier on the 2nd evening of the stay including all needed camera equipment.

Please note that the recommended minimum age for all participants is 13 years due to the late schedule of the Aurora Chase.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION TERMS

Due to our limited accommodation capacity and remote location we are unable to sell our cabins at Northern Lights Ranch again if cancellations come late. Therefore, we must uphold a strict reservation and cancellation policy as follows: • The reservation is confirmed by making the full payment 100% of the

reservation’s value at the time of making the reservation.

• A cancellation can be accepted 90 days prior to the arrival day for a 75 € cancellation fee. After that all cancellations are non-refundable, but if changes in dates would be needed and the changes would be made a minimum 90 days in advance, then we always try to seek new suitable dates for the client and will waive the cancellation fee. However, changing the dates of a reservation is always subject to availability and seasonal changes in rates are applied.

• Cancellations are always to be made by email to reservations@theranch.fi. Please mention your reservation number and your last name when informing us of the cancellation. If you are covered by your travel insurance for cancellations, then we can provide proof of cancelled accommodation and the amount you have paid.
