Bear Yuba Land Trust Treks: Table Mountain walk and wildflowers Table Mountain, a volcanic plateau outside of Oroville, is the quintessential place for wild- flower viewing in Northern California. However, the Bear Yuba Land Trust treks this year will be more about the hike and we’ll see wildflowers along the way (it’s hard to say what will be blooming this year, but it’s always spectacular). Not only will we see carpets of wildflow- ers, there are also lovely waterfalls to view and rolling rangelands to roam — so lots of land to cover. The hikes will be guided by trekkers extraordi- naire Clarence Motter and Sue Graf, with Vicki MacDonald joining them on Sunday. This hike, described as “moderate” in difficulty, is offered 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 22 and March 25. Cost: is $12 for BYLT Members, $17 Not- Yet-Members. For more information call BYLT at (530) 272-5994, ext. 200, or visit www.BearYuba LandTrust.org. — Submitted to The Union POLICE BLOTTER Editor's note: The Police Blotter consists of excerpts from dispatch reports by area law enforcement agencies.
