Position: Manager Database Administrator

Qualification:

Master Degree/4 years bachelor degree in Computer Sciences

Experience / Expertise:

6-10 years post qualification experience in relevant field.

Perform 2-tier and 3-tier clones of Oracle Applications 11i instances.

Install/configure Oracle Portal and Troubleshoot problems with

concurrent managers, Apache, IIS processes, and database

performance.

Apply database and applications patches and can perform SQL tuning.

Create test web servers, web listeners, form servers, concurrent

managers, and databases from the production environment.

Hands on experience in Oracle WLS, Application Server and IBM web

server. Support and maintain Oracle Applications Rel 11i/12 instances

including production and test.

Resolve various application failures due to data entry errors or system

errors, identifying problems and implementing corrective actions.

Write SQL scripts to monitor table space and extent growth.

Manage all the database restrictions for the applications.

User Access Administration and Implementation of System Audit Trail.

Hands on experience on installation and management of Virtual servers

for High Availability mode.

Experienced in Oracle Applications Database Administrator is required

with hands on knowledge of managing Oracle E-Business Suite on

various platforms i.e. Linux, Solaris, IBM AIX and Windows Server

platform etc.

Ability to maintain a high-level understanding of current and emerging

relevant technologies.

Should be able to administer IBM blade center, SAN, and Oracle RAC

Database Creation, Maintenance, Backup and Restoration.

Working on DR server for high availability on virtual servers.

Outstanding knowledge of installation and configuration of Oracle Apps

11i, R12 and Custom Servers for software deployment on various

platforms.

Should possess excellent experience in installation and maintenance of

Oracle RAC & Data guard independently.

Should possess excellent experience in migrations and up-gradation of

Oracle systems on different OS (AIX, SOLARIS & Linux etc).

Experience of working with IBM/SUN blades servers and FC SAN for

storage.

Preference:

Preference will be given to the individual having Certification in Oracle

Database Administration Track.

Terms & Conditions:

Employment against all the above mentioned positions will initially be carried

out on contract basis for a period of two years (further extendable) with 3

months probation period.

NLC offers reasonable salary at NLC-BPS/NLC-SPS (Equivalent to BPS)

which shall further be negotiable based on the qualifications and experience

of the individuals along with attractive package of fringe benefits.

At the time of induction/interview the candidates will have to provide HEC

verified educational documents / degrees / transcripts.
