A very slight fall in those walking more but an increase in cycling. Despite weekly fluctuations,

over the last 4 weeks around 1 in 3 are walking more and around 1 in 8 are cycling more.

The reduction in mood is likely linked to an increase in those thinking the worst is yet to come – the first

such increase seen in this tracker. This week has seen lockdown eased more gradually than perhaps

expected and statements made that a vaccine may never be found.

With Government advice now recommending face coverings, this week sees an increase in those

believing face masks should be compulsory in order to use public transport. All other interventions

have seen a reduction in those thinking they should be compulsory but overwhelming support for all

measures.

Expectations of using public transport have changed dramatically this week with 34% saying they expect to

use it less. The net reduction throughout the tracker has been ~20% and this week it stands on 31%.

Increases in cycling and car use have seen further rises this week.
