T5 fluorescent LightsWe have a very good price on lightweight low-energy T5 lights complete with nano reflector. Just plug in one strip or chain up to 8 on one cord to make a bank of lights. 1. Call to Order:President Harvey Keselman, opened the meeting at 2:00 p.m. Two documents; Matters/Motions and Bylaws, were e-mailed to members and will be presented at this meeting. Extra copies were available.

Financial report: - Fraser CameronFraser presented the financial report for February and moved we accept this report; seconded by John Epp; carried.Fraser presented the financial report for March and moved we accept this report; seconded by Garnet Ward; carried.There is no financial report on the show as there are still bills coming in.

4. Programs: - Kevin Duerksen:The program for the meeting on May 26th is Calvin Wong from Tropical Orchids and he will speak on the Japan Grand Prix. He will bring plants to sell. This meeting will be at the North Campus. A map will be sent to members.The June guest speaker is Terry Kowalchuk from Flora Paculia. He has Japanese orchids he will bring to sell.

5. Matters/Motions and Bylaw ChangesHarvey went over the proposed changes and gave his rationale for these changes. He suggested we vote on this piecemeal and not as a whole at the next meeting. This is the last meeting Harvey will be chairing.

6. Show Report – Lorne Heshka Harvey thanked Lorne and Diane Tolgyessy for all their work on the show. Lorne thanked Harvey for taking on the position of President.Lorne discussed having the show at the conservatory stating the negotiations weren’t easy. There were restrictions at the conservatory and we may want to consider other locations to have a show. The advertising for the show was very well done. The revenue for the show and the banquet was down. Some of our volunteers didn’t show up when they were supposed to causing some problems. The musicians were a very nice touch.

7. AOS/COC Representative: - Kyle Lucyk Nothing to report.

8. Hospitality: - Eva Slavicek – Volunteers to bring goodies for the May meeting are; Joan Heshka, Beverly Pukalo

9. Library: Ewa Kurnicka - No report.

A nominating committee will be contacting people for these positions. Please consider volunteering to fill these positions.
