E-1027
E-1027 is a residential house located in France. As a group task during this proj-ect was to draw the facade in AutoCAD by only using side elevations, floor plans, and pictures from online sources. As we wanted to challenge ourself at the beginning of the project, it turned out we picked the right building to do so. As we realized from the eleva-tions and floor plans, our facade would have to be mirrored in order to view the facade correctly. We also were challenged by the building itself as it underwent a restoration, there was no clear picture of what the building looked like up to date. After drawing the facade in AutoCAD, we were tasked to add color by using Illustrator. This placed anoth-er challenge on us as the original building is white. We wanted to make sure completed the task by coloring the building an subtle off-white.

Spacial Sequence This project was exploring our knowledge on spatial experiences with architec-tural elements. Based on concepts and studying the different types of spaces, we were tasked to develop a public space area that could have many different spaces within one. Materials used are wood for structure pieces and nails for trees.

Kansas City Sketchbook
During a studio travel to Kansas City, Missouri, we were tasked to study differ-ent spatial experiences. We were to sketch multiple areas and combined them into one book. This small project helped grasp spacial experiences and communicate what we experienced through sketches.
Pictured is the completed book, as well as a two of my favorite sketches.

Downtown Ames
This project we were to develop a commercial space for a specific user and res-idential area above. After completing a site Analysis, we were tasked to develop con-cepts that we felt would be an appropriate fit.

Drafting Plans The concept for my project included a user group as a writer. Then after inter-viewing a client, I was able to begin developing a concept in order to fulfill the clients requests. With other requirements of structure, and building height minimum, I was able to create a comfortable family home, with a commercial space on the lower level to accommodate the downtown experience, as well as a space for the clients own personal business.

Exploring Views Exploring with Rhinoceros, the project here was to seek multiple views of the building. Helping with communication, it allows for readers to see what exactly is be-ing emphasized in each picture. Although there may not be a full building in some, this allows for us to see inside and elements on the inside that better explain the structure of the building.

Rhinoceros Renderings Continuing to learn about Rhinoceros and an introduction to Maxwell, we were tasked to develop a pre-existing building. As we were tasked to use materials and day-light to help, we also used previous knowledge from the last project in order to change camera views. Changing camera views and materials help complete the aesthetic of the building. However, daylight and natural shadows emphasize the shape of the building.

Two X Two Two x Two was a project completed by all second year Architecture students at Iowa State. The objective of the project was to redefine public space. Although there where many parts to this project including design, fabrication, assembling, and many more. I had a large role in fabrication and assembling. Although I was a major leader in that role, I helped where others needed me in several other areas. Including creating a hype video for our opening day. Pictured is 2300+ pieces consisting two x twos and two x fours. It took over 80 hours to assemble within a 5 day time period. Project was open to the public for four weeks and is in process of being open at a new location. Course: Architecture 202 Architecture Design 2

Hand Drafting From a previous project, an isometric drawing of the exterior of a small pavilion. I appreciate hand drafting and sometimes find it easier to draft than using software to do so. I find drawing a large role in designing because you need to communicate your idea through various views and forms.
