Parent Helper Morning Tea

A massive thankyou to our parent and community helpers throughout the 2019 school year. Your contribution to our school is invaluable and we appreciate every moment you spend helping our amazing students. They say that every child is only ever one caring adult away from being a success. Thank you for ensuring that our students continue to have a community wrapped around them to ensure they are successful!

We would very much appreciate your help in 2020. Look out in our newsletter early next year for more information.

Year 6 Graduation & Farewell

We sadly farewell our eldest students here at RPS. Year 6 you’ve been a remarkable group of students and all staff wish you the very best for high school. Thank you to our wonderful Year 6 teachers for organising a fantastic graduation and farewell. As always they have gone above and beyond to ensure our students have the most amazing celebration to mark the end of their primary school career.

Student Reports

Student reports were sent home with children on Monday. Overall our students produced fantastic results in 2019. Congratulations to all students for working hard this year. Should you have any questions about your child’s report please contact your classroom teacher directly.

Farewell to Staff

It is a sad time of the year were we say goodbye and good luck to some of our long standing staff.

Mrs Bland has been a delightful supervisor of Stage 1 for many years at RPS. Her dedication and passion for teaching is commendable and we wish her all the best in her move to the sunshine state.

Mrs Garde is moving across the river but promises to stay in touch with RPS whenever she can. We thank Mrs Garde for her many years of exceptional teaching and wish her all the best at her new school.

Mrs Hahn is sadly leaving us at the end of this year to strengthen her teaching talents at another school and devote more time to her family. We are so sad to see Mrs Hahn leave and have valued her amazing talents with the Art Show over many years. It won’t be the same without you.

Mrs Wood has secured a permanent position at a neighbouring primary school and we wish her all the best for the start of her permanent teaching career. Thank you for your efforts in debating and we hope to see you next year at one of the debates.

Mrs Cooke has been a highly valuable member of staff who is leaving us at the end of the year to pursue a more balanced lifestyle. We appreciate Mrs Cooke’s contribution to teaching Stage 3 over the past few years and wish her all the best in whatever she strives for.

Miss Cotter has been a ray of sunshine at RPS and we will miss her so very much. Thank you for always bringing a lovely smile to RPS every day and making such a positive impact on our students. Good luck with your travel plans and we hope to see you back casual teaching in 2020.

Mrs Cameron has been a long standing member of our office team. She has been Mrs Healey’s right hand lady in the library and we will miss her so much. Thank you for your talents in both the office and the library and we wish you all the best in your endeavours for 2020.

Mrs McMillan has decided to take a huge leap of faith and start her amazing sea change by moving to Brisbane with her lovely family. Mrs McMillan has always been a bright, bubbling ball of energy at our school and we will certainly miss her ‘can do’ attitude.

Merry Christmas & Have a Safe Holiday

On behalf of all the staff at RPS, I wish all students and their extended families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year. I’d also like to extend a Merry Christmas to our wonderful teaching and support staff. They have worked so very hard this year and on behalf of our community I’d like thank them from the bottom of our hearts for the tireless work you do every day to ensure our students experience the very best public education has to offer. Your work, commitment and passion does not go unnoticed.

Have a well-deserved break everyone and we look forward to seeing you back for an amazing 2020.

Kindest Regards, Mrs Gillian Blackmore, School Principal
