1| Page Principal’s Report It was a wonderful opportunity to meet with so many family members last Wednesday at our “Meet the Teacher” afternoon. I shared information about the upgrade to our school library system which will make borrowing and administration tasks much easier. Other topics included the employment of our Instructional Leader, Chaplain and senior teacher. I will inform our community of the people who are selected to join our staffing team after the interview process is completed. When on our school grounds, you will hear music and bells as our outdoor public announcement system has been installed. The bell system supports a regular routine and provides time for children to get a drink and settle prior to reentering the classroom. It is also an essential for the safety and security of our staff and students. In the coming weeks the school will participate in fire drills, lockdowns and drills for threats to ensure everyone is familiar with the process. Miss Colleen Potter Principal Music Program Most of the students in years 36 have had enjoyed music lessons this term. Mrs Giorelando has sought the assistance of Maxx Music of Castle Hill to secure 3 music teachers with the skills to teach the variety of instruments our school has and to coordinate our school band. This term our K6 Easter Hat Parade will be held on Thursday 24 th March at 2pm. Families and friends are welcome to come and be the audience for our colourful parade before home time. Students will be making their hats before the parade and a separate note will be sent home to explain this. ANZAC Day Service Our school will acknowledge the sacrifice of service personnel through our ANZAC Day Service on Wednesday 6 th April at 9.30am. Family members are welcome to join students for the respectful service. Cricket Clinic Thank you to Miss Shahrouk for organising a clinic with Cricket Australia for all of our students.
