Local celeb goes huge!Grazia China couldn’t miss the must-see event to bring there famous local celeb Chris Lee. Chris’ participation at Cannes was featured in the last issue of Grazia China: the star appeared on the cover and in the cover story in which she gave us a glimpse of all the backstage excitement at Cannes.
CANNES’ BEST LOOKSGrazia Spain was also present with a very special fashion reporter at the Festival. In issues 15 and 16 Grazia revealed behind-the-scenes tidbits about one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year, where luxury and fashion have an annual date. What’s more, a panel made up of key figures of the Grazia Spain fashion team analyzed and judged the looks appearing on the red carpet in Cannes in the Brigada Fashion column of the magazine. FASHION FILM APERITIFDuring the recent Cannes Festival, Grazia France was the media sponsor of the Fashion Film Aperitif by Peroni Party, which was held before a viewing of short fashion films selected by A Shaded View On Fashion Film 1st International Film Festival, which is held each year in October at the Pompidou Center in Paris. The purpose for the party was to create a refreshing, original moment with taste and elegance at Cannes, serving cold beers accompanied by typical Italian appetizers to celebrate. More than 300 guests attended and Grazia joined the event with a copies’ distribution.

THIS MONTH WAS EXTREMELY EXCITING IN THE DIGITAL SPHERE FOR GRAZIA SOUTH AFRICA!Grazia South Africa has in fact just launched its own Grazia store on the online shopping portal Spree.co.za/Grazia. The store is jam-packed with handpicked items by Grazia’s Fashion Director and Editor-in-chief. Items featured in the magazine, as well as on Facebook and Twitter, are available online. Grazia South Africa relaunched also GraziaDaily.co.za. Thanks to the new “just in” slider, people can immediately see the newest posts, while the “sticky” feature is a unique offering for advertising clients, as this space is reversed for paid digitorials.

nail contestGrazia and Maybelline co-developed a nail art contest! Readers were asked to upload a picture of their nail art together with the new Maybelline nail polish and to use the #graizanailart. A small jury, consisting of Grazia Editor-in-Chief Hilmar Mulder, Grazia Beauty Editor Manon Hanssen and a Maybelline nail expert, selected the winner with the best nail art, who won a special private nail art workshop with 5 friends with nail artist Frédérique Olthuis and Maybelline’s complete Color Show nail polish collection. The winners were also presented in Grazia.

Grazia China and famous brand “Johnson’s Body Care” have launched a contest to find the Body Care spokeswoman. From April 1 to July 3, contest participants have to log in to http://weibo.com/graziachina and upload beauty photos of themselves or others. Up until now, more than 3000 people have participated. The winner will be the J&J beauty advertising spokesperson.
To celebrate 25 years of Kate Moss, Grazia offered readers the chance to win one of ten “Kate Moss: Style books”, written by Grazia’s very own editor-at-large Angela Buttolph.Angela Buttolph unravels the secret of Kate Moss’s fashion formula by uncovering the stories behind her most iconic outfits. To spread breast cancer awareness, Grazia Indonesia introduced the #WearPinkDay. Every Tuesday Grazia team wears pink (as total look or colorful detail) and invites Grazia readers to join and share their #WearPinkDay through social media activities. At the end of June, Grazia will choose the best outfit and the winner will receive a prize.

Grazia South Africa celebrated its first birthday with a special party at the glitzy San Deck, in Sandton. The party was attended by the Who’s Who of the entertainment and media industry. Guests were treated to divine cocktails, delicious food and superb music and also received an overflowing goodie bag. The event was nothing short of amazing and a huge success!
Grazia Spain, in cooperation with the Spanish fashion house Loewe, organized a gymkhana to present the new Tales of Spain collection, during which time six teams, composed of Grazia’s readers and headed by different fashion icons, International bloggers and actresses, took to the streets of Madrid to show the main items of the new collection. The prize was a bag for all the members of the winning team. The Grazia team was there with its gold balloons and also involved numerous readers. Even Grazioso, Grazia’s mascot, took part in the gymkhana. The event ended in the Loewe’s store, where three judges of the fashion house and three Grazia Spain judges elected the winning team.

Grazia Summer Style Night, a glamorous evening to celebrate this season’s hottest trends and the most fashionable city dwellers, was held at the celeb-fave club VIP Room at the JW Marriott Marquis, in Dubai. While every guest got five free cocktails and a rich goodie bag, one lucky reader had a chance to win an exclusive VIP table at the event. To win this prize, readers had to send an e-mail with a picture of themselves in their most fashionable club outfit and answer a question.

In May Grazia hosted the Best Dressed Award 2013 at Soho House in Berlin. The German stars were honored for the hottest looks and classiest styles in a total of six categories. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of actress Jessica Schwarz as “Best Dressed Woman.” The judging panel’s decision was announced by GRAZIA Editor-in-Chief Claudia ten Hoevel. Around 100 celebrities and representatives of the fashion and beauty industry attended the glamorous awards ceremony in Berlin. In the run-up to the award, Grazia readers and users could vote for their favorites online.

Grazia India took on the season’s hot denim trend with ONLY’s Denimize the World shopping event in Mumbai for its readers. Grazia’s Fashion Editors and stylists helped pair shoppers’ picks with accessories and blouses from the store. Moreover, Max Factor set up a pop-up store and guests tried on pop-coloured lipsticks and more.
Grazia Spain organized a Fashion Experience in which winners selected from the Grazia Club could take part in the event and participate in style lessons held by a professional stylist. During these lessons, the stylist suggested how to create an outfit with pieces from the HEAD OVER HEELS collection. What’s more, winners received a 10% discount coupon to be used in all the Village boutiques in Barcelona and Madrid as well as free round-trip transportation (the Shopping Express) to and from the store.

CARPE DENIM!The Grazia Shopping Night events this spring will certainly be remembered as the biggest ever, with numerous visitors and lots of activities and surprises. Five events were organized (the last held at the beginning of June), with the participation of all the major shopping malls across Serbia and the world’s most famous brands. Besides the great shopping opportunities, visitors enjoyed mini-concerts of some of Serbia’s most popular singers. Once again, Hugo Boss was the official fragrance of Grazia Shopping Night.

NEW TALENTS AT FASHION FORWARDGrazia Middle East was media partner to a brand new fashion movement called Fashion Forward, a three-day-long fashion extravaganza. On this occasion, Grazia covered the glamorous catwalk shows from upcoming and well-established regional designers, fashion forums and VIP events in the May 1 issue.
The Moda Shopping mall of Madrid invited young new designers - who couldn’t open their own store - to join the Playalab movement, which will have its own pop-up store between May 8 and July 31. Each week, the creations of 10 distinct designers will be displayed. Besides taking part in the inauguration, during these three months Grazia will decorate the mall with sun umbrellas that will lead to the store. Every Wednesday, it will also organize different activities involving fashion, music and culture.

In May Grazia Slovenia shot the June issue cover with the leading photographer Dejan Nikolic and featured Slovenia’s most beautiful young media personality Nusa Lesar, who appears on the Svet daily news show.
In the last issue, Grazia Macedonia dedicated ample coverage to the famous local bridalwear designer Biljana Karan. The creations of this designer, which are unique for their different colors and avant-garde materials, couldn’t remain unnoticed by Grazia!
