DSTA news Farewell to Year 6 and Defence Families Last week we said our official farewells to students posting out and our Year 6 cohort who are moving on to High School here in Wagga. It was lovely to have so many parents able to attend the brief ceremony.

All the best for 2019: Johnathan, Elizabeth, Elsie, Jack H (absent) and Clay (absent). Farewell and safe travels to: Sampson, Phoenix A, Evie, Chloe, Logan, Heath, Imogen, Matilda, Phoenix V, Brock, Lucas, Roman, Amelia and Katelyn (absent).

100 Poppies Project In November, I worked with all the students to make 100 poppies to mark 100 years since the end of WW1. After the Remembrance Day Service the poppies were collected and have now been mounted onto a large canvas. Thanks to Mrs Eacott’s father for his expert sign writing skills. The canvas will be displayed in the school as a reminder of this special occasion.

DCO Wagga Wagga DCO offices are open until Christmas Eve. Don’t hesitate to contact Helen if you need any help or advice. 76 Morgan Street, Wagga Wagga NSW 2651 ph: 02 6931 0011 The Defence Family Helpline is also there 24/7. It is not just for emergencies. This is a free service offered to Defence personnel and their families. Defence Family Helpline | 1800 624 608 www.defence.gov.au/dco

Farewell from Mrs. Mee Even though I have moved many times, following my husband and supporting him in his Army career, I think leaving Wagga will be one

of the hardest goodbyes. We have loved living here and working here at Kapooka for the past year has been especially rewarding for

me. I am so grateful to Lyn and all the staff for their care and support, while I was still learning how to be a DSTA and particularly

during my current treatment. I wish all families a safe, blessed and very merry Christmas and hope that 2019 brings good

health, happiness and a bucket full of great memories.
