Concurso Mundial de Paellas 2015

(World Paella Contest 2015)

Every year at the beginning of March and before the celebration of Fallas

Holidays in Valencia, the “World Paella Contest" is held. For this event, the

shipping industry gather to contest their culinary skills with Spain’s national

dish (also a regional Valencia dish), Paella. Every company cooks their

own paella with the ingredients provided by the organizing committee

and thereafter, enjoy the famous Valencia Paella with their colleagues

and associates.

Almost 5,000 professionals from more than 300 companies in the shipping

industry participated in the contest in Valencia on March 6, 2015 for the

XXVI anniversary. The overwhelming response this year sets a record for the

event history. With the 336 paellas cooked, it is definitely a major

headache for the judges to select the winner of the year.

miss out the fun as well.

They were one of the

sponsors for this year’s

event, and they took a go

at the cooking contest too!

For this year, our honorable

chefs are none other than

Mr. Joaquim Pueyo (Managing Director, Globelink Uniexco) and Mr.

Francisco Ripoll (Branch Manager, Globelink Uniexco Valencia)!

It was an excellent event, allowing fellow colleagues to bond and enjoy

the Spring weather while cooking Paella, and definitely a great chance to

network with customers and associates as well. After the contest, the party

continued with song and dance. With the combination of great company,

nice weather and delicious food, there is no doubt that everyone had a

relaxed and amazing time!

Barcelona Hub

As you probably know, Barcelona is one of the most important hubs in the

world, mainly to the Mediterranean, Africa and Central/South America.

Globelink Fallow: Pizza Promotion!

Gear up for a Pizza Party! Our UK office, Globelink Fallow ran a Pizza

Promotion in May 2015. Customers could earn a £5 Pizza Hut Gift Card with

every booking made online via Globelink Fallow’s QuickBook system.

The campaign mechanics were simple. After making their booking online,

customers simply have to send in an email with the words “PIZZA PLEASE”

to receive their Pizza Hut Gift Cards.

The campaign results were encouraging, and the objectives were

achieved. There was increased customer bookings made online, and

added awareness of Globelink Fallow’s QuickBook system.

What is this QuickBook system about? Basically, this online service is the

natural progression from QuickQuote. This service allows customers to

convert their quotations into automated bookings. Alternatively, the

system also allows customers to create bookings completely from scratch.

This service is fully integrated into our operating system ensuring that data

replication and therefore errors are minimized. In addition, Quotations and

Bookings are recorded and retained under the customer’s login for future
