MonthsNov. 2010 March 2011
As we are now in a new year we look back and are thankful for all that God has done for us. We look
forward to the new year and seeing what Gods plans are. Many of you know we have been praying for a
couple to come and take the place of Nate and Lizzie Hurley who are leaving at the end of April. God has
provided once again and a couple from PA has committed two years to us. Thank you all for your prayers
and support!
November 2010November 2010November 2010November 2010 Lucias family court case happened this month. A DNA test was taken to see if her father is the
father of her child. The test was positive and a court case was scheduled for Feb. 2011.
When at the court for Lucias case, we received a very cute 8 day oldbaby girl who was found naked on a sidewalk by the river. We named
her Rebecca Mercedes.
When at the hospital picking upMercedes, the hospital asked us to take
two more boys. One that was abandoned
in the hospital since his birth five months
ago, and one that was found in a field
three months ago. We named them Isaac
Osberto and Jacob Daniel. They did not
have any paper from the court right away, but a couple days later we
flew up to get them. While there, we received a 12 year old girl named
Maria who was sold into prostitution since she was nine.
December 2010December 2010December 2010December 2010 The Jones family from Harvest Fellowship Church came and spent
Christmas with us. They brought with them many nice things for the
children and for us. Nate and Lizzie did a Christmas
pageant at the church where we do
the childrens church. They had a lot of
fun and the local children enjoyed
being in it.
Nate and I worked on the springs that supply our house with water. We found a large cistern that we hope to start using in the rainy
season.
We did some small renovations on the house. One of them being new

shelves for the library.
Of course we celebrated Christmas and thanks to all of your support we were able to get thechildren many nice gifts.
January 2011January 2011January 2011January 2011 School started this month. Many of the children are way behind in their schooling or simply do not
understand it. However they have been doing better in recent months.
There was a plane crash on our runway. We were there andwere able to get to the site fast. Unfortunately the pilot died
in our car on the way to the hospital. His co pilot suffered no
severe injuries. We were able to house her until everything
was cleared up and she was able to get back to the states.
We are still praying for all involved and encourage you to as
well.
February 2011February 2011February 2011February 2011 My wife and I, along with Davey, went to a mission conference at Cooper
City Church of God. We had a wonderful time. We always enjoy goingthere. We also got to swing by WI and see our family there.
After the conference we went to see my brother in North Carolina. He hadjust returned from Afghanistan a week before we got there.
Lucias family had their court hearing this month. Unfortunately her threesisters, Ana, Eva, and Sheny, were placed with their grandparents who live
in the same small town their father does. The father is still free. Lucia and
her son have been placed in our permanent custody.
Mercedes, Isaac, and Jacob have all been placed permanent in the home. This is very sad and we are hoping and praying that the adoption agency
here will change their policies so more children can be adopted.
March 2011March 2011March 2011March 2011 In preparation for rainy season we have been
doing some renovations. Fixing roof leaks, slowly
building a large wood shed, and doing any
outdoor repairs on the home.
We started planting our own veggies. We are kindof testing things out right now. Our Lettuce is
doing very well as well as our tomato plants.
We took the children to a drive thru Safari. Theyhad lots of fun.
We saw some fruits of trying to make morefriends in town. We went to a wedding as well as
a birthday party.
Lucia once again had to go to court, this time to testify against her dad. Her dad has been arrestedand put in jail.

Child Highlight
Name: Jeamy Damaris Abigail
Armira Aquino
Age: 12 years
Sex: Female
Home Town: Guatemala City
Arrival Date: Nov 30, 2007
Story: Jeamy grew up in a broken home. Her mother put all her children
in and out of childrens homes at her leisure. Because of living in 4
different orphanages for short periods of time over a 6 yr time frame,
the children were very detached from their mother and were never able to
attend school for a whole semester. After Jeamy and her 3 siblings were
put in our home, they have progressed and Jeamy was able to catch up on
her schooling. She is now in 5th grade and doing well. They are very
stable and loving and are very well settled emotionally into our family.Jeamy is very helpful and likes to play dress up, swim, play sports and
board games. Jeamy, along with her two younger brothers, will be with us
permanently. Jeamy is growing in the Lord and enjoys helping at church
with the kids music.
