Weekly Prayer
This Week's News
Dear God,
Thank you for being with me and my friends at Bradwell and helping us to discover new talents and achieve new skills. Thank you for giving us courage and strength and for helping us to feel safe at Bradwell in all the challenges that we had to face. Thank you for keeping our families safe while we were away.AmenOlivia Shaw Year 6
Mr Bragard’s Weekly UpdateAfter the late nights from the Year 6 residential due to the constant giggling and talking in the boys and girls dormitories I am only just managing to keep my eyes open as I write this! Year 6 residential was exactly the opportunity to see the core value of achievement in abundance. Year 6 had a huge amount of enjoyment and fun at Bradwell but they also achieved some great accomplishments too. During the trip the children managed to overcome many fears and barriers to achieve success. There were children that had never been out on a boat and were even frightened to go out. They managed to overcome this fear and after they finished were confident on a boat and were enjoying every moment on the water. What a fantastic achievement. Others had a fear of heights but by the end had pushed themselves to climb higher than they could have imagined on the high ropes. Another great achievement! Some children simply caught a crab for the first time which in itself was a brilliant achievement. It showed that Year 6 can do anything that they put their mind to and we all should remember this. To achieve is to push yourself more than you ever have and in situations that are maybe new or different but most of all it is vital to never give up!

Parking at Sacred Heart School
Parking has been an ongoing issue at Sacred Heart School. Just to make
you aware we have been in discussion with the police, the council and the
local MP to find a solution to our parking issue.
However as we wait for some news in regards to this can I remind all
parents:● Do not park on the zigzag lines it is illegal and they are there to
keep our children safe.

Year 5 Shakespeare Workshop
The children of St Philip (Year 5) went on a very wet Tuesday morning to
the Palace Theatre for a company workshop led by actors from the
Shakespeare Schools Foundation. They had a brilliant time learning new
techniques to improve their performance and came away with some
excellent ideas for some of the scenes in our upcoming production.
Amongst the top tips shared with the children were: ‘Cheat with your feet’;
‘Avoid the kiss and kill zone’ and ‘Land your lines’, which the children have
fully taken on board and are now using effectively in our continuing
rehearsals. Don’t forget to purchase your tickets to see their
performance of Julius Caesar (7pm on 12th November at the Palace
Theatre, tickets available from the box office-01702 351135)
