We had our annual Christmas banquet December 6th at Edenville Community Center; we had a fantastic turn out, saw lots of friends that we have not seen in quite a while. Also thanks for all of your generous support for the White Elephant sale; we believe that was most money raised to date. As most all of you know Clair Martin’s wife had took a turn for the worse right before the banquet, so he asked that we find someone else to auctioneer. As luck would have it I have a cousin that was willing to help out. We really appreciated her help, and she did a wonderful job, thanks Pauline. We did receive word that Clair’s wife did pass away the same weekend as our banquet. Our condolences to the Martin family.Also a previous member of Chapter “C” (Nancy Stoner) passed away the end of December. She has been quite ill for some time.Now on to 2015We had our monthly breakfast on January 3rd at Greenvillage, even though the weather was bad with sleet and freezing rain, there were 9 chapter “C” members that were there.
Am in the works of setting up a visit to the Martinsburg Veteran Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia, hopefully either in January or early February. Keep your eyes open for more information on this. Would love to have a good showing from Chapter “C” for this.
New Year’s eve we got together at Hoss’s in Chambersburg for an early New Year’s Eve celebration, it was really nice seeing all of you. Hope you have a blessed 2015.
Don’t forget that Chapter “C” is making plans to go to Henry and Naomi’s for an authentic Amish meal on January 31 st @ 6:00pm. If you have not given us your name and would like to attend please do so as soon as possible.
We are looking for some new and exciting ideas/rides/activities/events for the upcoming year. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MAKE YOUR IDEAS KNOWN TO US!! ! ! ! ! !

A Letter from your Ride Educator Steve Hill:Welcome back everyone. The New Year is here so let’s have some fun with numbers. If you remember, last spring I asked everyone to give me your mileage for the start of the riding season, well now I’d like to get your year-end mileage so I can run some averages. The numbers aren’t going anywhere; I just thought it’d be fun to see what for mileages each of us is running. I know I had a wonderful year with lots of miles that I doubt I am ever able to repeat. While you’re out getting your mileage, look over your bike and plan your maintenance or make arrangements for your favorite shop to service your bike so when riding season gets here, you will be ready. Dan & Myron are already talking about the “big” ride for next year and I know there will be plenty of opportunities so now is the time to make sure your bike is ready when the weather breaks. The good news is we were almost all safe this season with just one accident (the cage driver was totally at fault). I do have people tell me they ride all year round, so if you do ride, remember to keep a careful eye on the weather (any precipitation can be disastrous) and be sure you are prepared for the temperatures. Now be safe out there.

Wenger Tidbit: Use chalk to remove grease stains from clothes. Simply
rub white chalk on the affected area and wash as normal. The chalk will absorb the grease and be washed away in the cycle. >>>>…….

Rosie, Clair’s Wife went to be the Lord on December 7th 2014; Clair has been our friend for so many years he feels like one of our family. We were sad to hear of Rosie’s passing and the viewing was well attended by our Chapter. We had time to talk with Clair at the viewing and he seems to be doing well. He only had three weeks to get himself ready when he heard Rosie was ill. I heard him say to someone he can cook and has Rosie’s recipe book. Clair will miss Rosie tremendously. Chapter “C” wishes him well.
