The Gospel Echoes have retired from singing and we will miss their style of singing. They have always had “THE SOUND” the harmony and presence of The Lord in their
singing .We wish them a great time off the road. I am sure they will be singing and continue in their church
work.

CALLED OUT; RICK GRISWOLD; & THE CHANGING TIMESPLEASE BRING A COVERED DISHWe have a new segment of S.E.G.M.A. that you might like to partake in. It is called S.E.G.M.A. Fans. We have our first official fans : Howard & Evelyn Burks. If there is a sing going on especially one with SEGMA singers, you will see Bro. & Sis Burks. They are definitely fans of SEGMA & other great gospel singing groups. We also have another group that sang for us at July meeting called For His Grace . We are looking forward to their participation in SEGMA pending our voting the next meeting in August.
Truth or consequencesIt seems like today that we are living in that time described in the Bible as the last
days where people choose church or religion based on what they want to hear.
“For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold.” 2 Timothy 4
I read in another devotion just this morning an interesting phrase in line with this thought.
“God’s Word is right concerning everything, not just the things with which you agree. We are to take all of God’s commands and surrender to them.”
Do you hunger for the truth or do you want what makes you feel good? Do you want to know what God wants you to know or do you want to know what will make you happy for today? Sometimes they are the same thing as God has planned for you something great but sometimes God needs to reveal those sin filled areas of our heart to us. That is where the surrender comes in. I yield to His hand as He molds the piece of clay (me) on the potter’s wheel. I want and need sound doctrine, not just what is pleasing to my ears.
We don’t want to be judged. We don’t want to change. And we certainly don’t want anyone telling us we are not living right when we are happy doing what we do.
The bottom line is this, what does God say? What does God want from me? How is He working in my life to do a life makeover? Will I allow Him?

If you or your group would like to be a member of SEGMA there is 3 different ways you can participate 1- singing group 2- as a promoter 3- As a fan You ask why/ That is because we in our own ways want to get the message out about Jesus and the message of the cross. There is a way to reach people and God is giving you that opportunity to be a part of a great organization
