The BBQ’s have been a roaring success. The BBQ’s held on the 31st May and 14th June were run by the Under 12 & Under 14 boys and girls and over $400 (pictured

below are the U12 girls in action). BBQ’s will continue throughout the season. So it would be great if teams could volunteer for the following dates. If you are in-

terested please contact Natalie Fahey. 28th June 2014 10am—3pm 19th July 2014 10am—3pm 26th July 2014 10am—3pm

There are more than 100,000 Australians who find themselves homeless each night of the year. Just under half of these are women; a quarter are under the age of 18. That’s a terrible thing to contemplate but a reality for many Australian families and individuals. The CEO Sleepout is a fantastic initiative of the Vinnies that our CEO, Andrew Winch, is taking part in to raise awareness of the issue and much needed funds by sleeping “out” in the cold for one night at the Hobart Showgrounds. We are calling for people to sponsor Andrew in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout this Thursday 19 June 2014 and help raise a few dollars to support the Vinnies in their work. You can visit ceosleepout.org.au to find out more. All money raised will go towards helping Australia's estimated 100,000 homeless men, women and children to find the warmth, safety and dignity that they desperately deserve.

Could all parents ensure that their children do not go onto the turf during any game (whether it be

before a game, half time, or end of a game) to hit a ball and play if it is not their game. Umpires could

you please ensure that children are not on the turf if they are not involved in the current game.

Congratulations to the Under 16 boys who won their first game in 3 years against University in Week 5.

Haffenden won her age group by a cool 150metres. Musically Olivia Eade had outstanding results for the Piano

Forte at the Hobart City Eisteddfod . Well done girls!

In the month of June, our A-Grade Mens coach, Alistair Addison joined the dirty 30’s. We wish him a happy 30th birthday. Pictures of his night can be

seen up above. Pictured right are some of our 3rd grade white team members enjoying

their long weekend taking a lovely bush walk. Pictured below are our 1st Division Men players in action over the past

few weeks.

Who is this life member with the beard??? And the baby-faced mens players???
