Please be advised that the access to the Friends grounds in Bell Street is a privilege granted to us by Friends .Whilst we are allowed to train on this ground it is not a right and can be withdrawn at any time. The issue that we do have, is with teams using these grounds for warm ups etc. that the shoes are not cleaned ie. free from grass PRIOR to entering the Hockey Centre . A shoe wash is provided at the entrance tunnel for this specific purpose. The prac-tice of banging the shoes on the forecourt to remove the grass is to cease immediately. Only last night we had the first instance of TWO teams cleaning their shoes and leaving grass all over the forecourt. The ground staff will continue to monitor for breaches of this directive, and if it is to continue, the Friends grounds will be placed OFF LIMITS . This is a facility that is very handy for us so please respect this request.
