We are a Greek (Eastern) Orthodox parish, part of the oldest Christian tradition,
dating to 33 A.D., the Day of Pentecost. We trace our roots back to the Apostles and their teachings.
We hold fast to the moral, theological and liturgical traditions of the Early Christian Church.
We are pleased that you have chosen to experience the worship of Early Christianity in a modern setting.

AHEPA NEWS
At the AHEPA meeting, held last Sunday, members of the local chapter decided to get professional instruction in handling the defibrillator - recently donated for the use of our St. Barbara parish-ioners - so our instructors, Duke Hospital nurses, will be conducting a "defibrillator teach-in" on Saturday, September 8, between 10:00 a.m. to noon. Any and all parishioners interested in attending are welcome! Refreshments will be available. Save the date! In due course, there will be a sign-up sheet on the Welcoming Table.
