one pair of small, plain silver or gold stud earrings for pierced
ears (one earring in each lower ear lobe)

Plain black to fit A4 sized books/folders
• Skirt
“A” line Black Watch tartan skirt with inverted pleats knee
length or below
• Shoes
Black, sensible, low-heeled, traditional, shoes or low ankle
boots only, (with black laces if appropriate). No trainers,
canvas shoes, open-toes, flip flops, sling-backs or casual
style footwear
• Coats
Black plain, fabric coat with long sleeves. No hoodies or
sweatshirt style jackets with hoods. (Large logos, denim,
leather, suede, PVC and fur coats/jackets are not allowed)
PE Uniform• Available via the school website

• To order online, simple visit the website and register a new account. New customers are asked to follow the online instructions to link their account to Bullers Wood School.
• Items may be delivered to your home or to Bullers Wood School.
• Students must also ensure they have a pair of Sports trainers (NOT vans/converse/pumps) for PE lessons –these can be purchased at any local sports shop. Shin pads and gum shields are also compulsory for Hockey/Rugby and shin pads for Football.
• PE Bags can be any colour.

Detentions
School Detentions can be before school, during the school day or at the end of the school day.
Students can be kept for up to one hour at the end of the school day without prior agreement of parents, although where possible parents are contacted in advance .

Valuables
Bullers Wood School will not accept responsibility for lost or stolen items. Please do ensure that valuable items are left at home.
During PE lessons students will be given the opportunity to hand valuables such as phones and watches in for safe keeping in a locked office, it is the students responsibility to hand them in.
E Safety and Social media• Snap Chat, Instagram are aged 13+
• Please check your daughter’s phone regularly, you pay the bill you want to keep her safe
• Insist that her mobile phone/ipad is charging in the kitchen and not in her bedroom. Buy a cheap alarm clock if necessary so this is not a reason to have your phone on throughout the night.
• Attend the e safety parents information evening at BW. It is vital to keep ahead of an ever changing on line world.
