CARTHA, Collaborative Doer, Collaborative Competence, C2G2 Model, Collaborative Doing, Glocalize, Glocalizer

ASPIRATION TMGH CARTHATM
Project Period Envisioned
2002-2011; Now adapted within CARTHA’s programs
2006-perpetual
Formalized Expansion Trajectory
Informal network gave rise to novel insights Eventual “merger” of some themes into CARTHA Ongoing topics at campuses Scholarships at professional societies
Student Chapters Fellows’ works in their respective professions; Possible crafting of a 501c6 organization. How to fund all this?
Impacts Culture shift has taken place slowly: Standardized humanitarian licensing provisions in academic TT practice. Took ~6 years.
Reverberations of C2G2 Cultures begun in so many locations in 5 yrs. Next phases TBD.
ASPIRATION TMGH CARTHATM
Measuring cultural and attitudinal shifts in a professional community
Actual shifts in managerial practice are occurring. Global health issue is considered no longer as “novel” in academic TT practice. However, significant challenges remain—and new problems crop up constantly—in addressing global health problems. Definition of “global health” itself has shifted over the last 5 years. There is no common definition as such.
Economic viability, staffing needs, seed funds, and program implementation speed will always be a concern! Customized online work tools, databases, visual maps of Collaborative Doings, social media. Who will fund this?
Longer-term Impacts
Not possible to track through TMGH as such since TMGH has been adopted now into CARTHA’s programs.
Independent evaluation and metrics needed. Who will do this? Who will fund this?
