What is a digital twin?
A digital twin is a virtual/digital representation of a physical entity or system. It
involves connected “things” generating real-time data. That data is assembled and
analyzed in the cloud, and combined with other data related to the thing / context
around it. It is then presented to people in a variety of roles, so they can remotely
understand its status, its history, its needs, and interact with it to do their work.

Concluding thoughts:
How will new technologies, disruption change the
transportation and the Society?
• Private cars (clean, safe and cheap) will be
attractive, perfect outside but with restrictions
cities.
• New tax bases and/or or business models to
raise funds for investments in mass transport
systems is needed.
• Autonomous road transport systems & mobility
services will make public transport more attractive
and available.
• Digital Twin Operation will manage insight,
innovation and operation excellency for disruptors.
• Disruption & Business transformation. Its all
about surviving (or being protected by law). Look
out for new brands.
