Big Data: known issues and known limitationsWe encourage you to consult the JIRA bug tracking tool for a full list of open issues:

    https://jira.talendforge.org/issues/?filter=31377

    Limitation Description

Java 11 Java 11 is not supported in the Standard Jobs or theMetadata Repository once they involve Big Datadistributions.

This limitation is due to the constraint to support Java 11 ofthe Big Data distributions.

    Big Data: hints and notes

    Item Description

MapR 6.0 connection on Windows You need to add the following properties to the Studiostartup .ini file to ensure successful connection to MapR 6.0:

    • -Djava.security.auth.login.config=/opt/mapr/conf/mapr.login.conf

    • -Dhadoop.login=hybrid• -Djava.library.path=/opt/mapr/lib

    Related issue: https://jira.talendforge.org/browse/TBD-6411.

Dynamic distribution JAR files When defining a dynamic distribution, users need to setup their local Nexus repositories to store the dynamicdistribution jar files to be downloaded.

The area to be used for this setup has been moved to theGeneral > Artifact Proxy Setting view in the Project Settingsdialog box.

    Data Integration: hints and notes

    Item Description

Use of recursive Jobs Avoid using recursive Jobs because this forces recursiveJobs with the same dependencies build. In a normal caseeach Job has its own Maven project, but with the use ofrecursive Jobs, all the Jobs linked might be compiled insidethe same project. This can easily cause some compilationissues between the Jobs.

Unable to select tables in MySQL components Due to a known issue of MySQL database driver 8.0.12 andsome earlier versions, you may have a problem openingthe list of database tables in MySQL components. If thishappens, use MySQL database driver 8.0.13 or a laterversion.
