General information HIP Exemption
If you already have a private healthcare insurance, you are allowed to waive HIP by following the steps
hereafter:
1. Log in to AUBSIS https://www-banner.aub.edu.lb/pls/weba/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin
2. Go to Student Services
3. Go to HIP Exemption
4. Scan your private insurance card or certificate (could be any proof)
5. Upload the picture by selecting Choose File
6. Add the expiry date
7. Once the file is chosen, click on Upload Document
8. A confirmation email will be sent to you after ~3 working days

Student Representatives Elections at AUB
- Elections take place at AUB on a yearly basis. This year, the elections are happening on October 18, 2019.
- There are two types of student representative councils at AUB:
1. Student Representative Committee (SRC): council specific for each faculty, composed of students
representing their whole year (4 E1 SRCs, 4 E2 SRCs, … compose the MSFEA SRC)
SRC are elected by year (meaning that if you’re a first year student you vote for only 4 first year
SRC)
1. University Student Faculty Committee (USFC): council composed of students from all faculties, with
each student representing their whole faculty (5 MSFEA USFCs, 5 FAS USFCs… compose the whole
USFC)
USFC are elected over the whole Faculty (if you’re a first year student, you can vote for only one
USFC within FEA that can be any year)
- Whether you want to vote or not, don’t forget to have your ID on you during elections day in order to enter
the AUB campus.

Student Cellular Plans How to sign up
If you are interested in signing up for this service, follow the steps hereafter:
1. Go to the following link https://sss.aub.edu.lb/forms/mobileconsent
2. Login with your credentials
3. Fill out the Mobile Consent Form
4. The service will take up to 45 days to validate
5. Once you receive a message, the student plan will be activated.
Study Abroad
Study Abroad Programs:

Eligibility:
- Undergraduates must have completed 24 sophomore credits
- ALL Students must be in good academic standing. Students on probation are not eligible to study abroad
- It is against AUB regulations for students to study abroad during their final semester at AUB
Note: If you transferred into AUB as a junior, you are only permitted to do summer study abroad.

Most common minors for Engineering Students:

● Technical Electives: ECON 217 or 227

- Math (MATH 210 only, all other math courses are already required in the curriculum)
Petitions
To submit a petition at AUB, the easiest way is to submit it online via https://epetitions.aub.edu.lb
You have to submit your transcript along with your request and other relevant documents.
Club registration
To register for a club, you need the CRN of the Club, then follow these steps:
1. Log in to AUBsis
2. Go to Student Services
3. Go to Registration
4. Select Term “Clubs 2019-2020” (registration still didn’t open as of this date)
5. Enter the CRN
Maximum 3 clubs (excluding societies)
Reading Week and Finals
Before Final Examinations:
- ICE Survey: Anonymous questionnaire to evaluate your instructor and the course
- 2 weeks before reading period
- Fill out before deadline in email, or else you will get a 3 Week Grade Hold on your transcript and final grade
Reading Period:
- Starts on the 4th of December
- Final exams start on the 9th - 19th of December
- Exam dates are specified by the Office of the Registrar
- You are allowed to petition for a change in exam date in case you have more than 3 exams the same day
- Missing a final exam results in a ZERO if you have no valid excuse. If you do, you either do a Makeup Exam
right away, or get an Incomplete Grade on the sis and a makeup exam later
