Introduction
Social media marketing is a constantly evolving. For instance, 2014 will see an increase in the presence of short video clips as a form of social media interaction. Much like the 140-character word limit helped Twitter become a social media staple, applications like Twitter’s Vine and Instagram (with 6- and 15-second time limits, respectively) will help media marketers condense video advertising techniques.
About Social Media Marketing
On the other hand, media marketers must stay up to date with media trends that are no longer effective. Foursquare, for example, experienced issues with raising funds throughout 2013, and its performance this year traffic has been equally as lackluster to date. Because location-based apps have been incorporated into the offerings of a number of larger companies, including Google and Facebook, it would seem that any time or money invested in marketing Foursquare would be a waste.
