VISTAMATIC’S PARTNERSHIP

In addion to all the upgrades in size, infrastructure, and technology, the important decision was made to include prod-ucts from VISTAMATIC in the new Parkland Hospital as the product of choice for their integral blind needs.

Once the decision was made, VISTAMATIC supplied in excess of 2,000 vision panels across the full remit of the hospital with the excepon of the ICU. VISTAMATIC vision panels are now one of the main focal points of the hospital, as they are installed in the paent rooms, as well as NNICU, Labor and Delivery unit, X-ray, and operang rooms.

“VISTAMATIC was considered, along with a few other privacy glass opons, and our products were installed in the mock-up unit along with our competors. Long and difficult decisions were made by focus groups and were guided through the mock-up unit. It quickly became clear thatthat the VISTAMATIC Vision Panels were the first choice amongst the focus groups, as well as staff members, thanks mainly to the innovave features of our Vision Panels, as well as the very low maintenance that’s involved with our product.”

-Kevin Roth, CEO/Managing Partner

“Parkland is excited about the lifeme warranty that Vista-mac offers. The standard integral blinds oen mes are a maintenance nightmare, frequently breaking and not working properly, as are common with these other prod-ucts. They also usually have a limited warranty that doesn’t cover the life expectaon of this daily-used product.”

-Gena English, AAHID, EDAC, RAS, Senior Program Man-ager NPH FF&E/Interior Designer of the Parkland Hospi-tal Replacement Program

VISTAMATIC’S INNOVATIVE CONTRIBUTION

“We supplied many variaons of our Vision Panels including white vinyl and blasted graphics, polycarbonate typically used in Behavioral Health units, and X-Ray glazing types that were all placed within our VISTA-Max, SuperMax, and MAX-XL panels,” explains Roth. “The Vision Panels either had a one-sided operaon or a two-sided operaon depend-ing on the area in which they were being installed. They were installed in 2013 and 2014, and installaon will connue through 2015.”““The product is in all locaons that we would have typically specified integral blinds,” says English. “VISTAMATIC’s role during the design process was crical. They worked directly with the architects and the end users to come up with a soluon that met everyone’s needs. Aer installing mock-up versions of the product they took the feedback on the lever closure that was provided and modified the product for an improved soluon.”

IN CONCLUSION

On Parkland's part, English reciprocates the feelings expressed by Roth. “Vistamac was very involved in the soluons of the project,” states English. “Kevin was personally involved in every conversaon and feedback on the product, and how it can meet our needs. I personally was impressed with the customer service and follow-through before, during, and so far aer the specificaon. Any and all quesons and concerns have been answered in a mely manner.”

WithWith an opening slated for mid-2015, The new Parkland Hospital will soon become a reality nearly a decade aer it was first imagined.; Given the foresight and choices made in design, construcon, and execuon, the new Parkland Hospital will proudly carry on the 100+ year tradion of the Parkland name, and VISTAMATIC will be standing right beside them.

“Thanks to our lifeme warranty, Parkland staff members will enjoy the problem-free benefits of VISTAMATIC Vision Panels for years to come,” says Roth. Parkland and VISTAMATIC will bring medical care in Dallas County into the future, together.
