CERP scope in the context of Internet of CERP scope in the context of Internet of Things (2008)Things (2008)

• Automatic identification, Sensor networks• Physical and logical objects (order, invoice, transfer, tickets,…)• Object information management (synchronisation, distributed

data, multiple representations, migration …)• Context awareness (Location, ambient intelligence)• Layered structures (Physical world, processes, objects,

connectivity, compatibility, ..) • Security, end to end management

A need for a new framework exists ! Object needs a definition !

What about the AITPLM cluster ?What about the AITPLM cluster ?

The approach towards interoperability and networked enterprises is currently guided by a ‘process’ perspective. However, the need for product lifecycle management empowered by unique instance identification calls for an ‘object’ perspective in the retrieval, sharing and management of information, representing a paradigm shift for enterprise systems. The challenge ahead is to integrate these two perspectives and ensure a seamless interaction between the Internet of Things/Objects and the Internet of Services, opening up new horizons for interoperability and collaboration in a networked environment.
