IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO HELP US…advertise for Journey to the Cross. Posters and business cards are still available in the narthex to spread the word to our community. You (yes you!) are our best advertisers and can help spread the word far and wide, allowing this wonderful ministry to be shared with as many people as possible. If you have any questions, please contact Kelsey DeLand. Thank you for your continued help in making Journey to the Cross a success ON THE SATRUDAY MORNING AFTER GOOD FRIDAY…lots of help is needed to disassemble all of the scenes, and store away the props, beginning at 8:30 AM. With enough help most of these tasks will be completed in less than two hours. This Easter gift to our community would not be possible without you. Thank you again for your help in any or all of these opportunities OUR EASTER SUNDAY SERVICES…on April 1 include the beautiful sunrise service at 6:30 AM and the festival service at 9 AM. Remember to invite any friends and neighbors that may not have a church family to celebrate with. THE ANNUAL EASTER BREAKFAST…will be in the Community Center at 7:30 AM. The meal is prepared by the ladies of WELCA, with donations from the congregation, and served on a free will donation basis. TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY BEGINS….April 3 @ 9:15 in the Gathering Place. The study will be “The Apostles’ Creed”. Newcomers to the group are welcome. Contact JoAnn Capaul-Smallidge so that she may get a study guide for you. PIANOS ARE BEING TUNED…at the parsonage and the church next week, at a very reasonable price. If you would like to schedule while the “tuner”, Chris Zagoric is in town, contact Diane Kerr at 269-9272. IF YOU’VE EVER BEEN AN USHER… or wish to become one, there’s an Usher Training on Saturday, April 21 at 9am in the high school room. Given the latest issues in public safety, we will discuss some new security measures as well as the regular duties of ushering at Prince of Peace. Coffee, juice, and donuts provided.

A FACEBOOK PAGE FOR THE MOM 2 MOM SALE…can be found at POP Mom2Mom. For those of you on Facebook, please like and share our page to help us promote the sale. Thank you. PASTOR THOMASE WILL CELEBRATE…his 85th birthday tomorrow, March 26th! Per church council, a floral bouquet was sent to him from his Prince of Peace church family to recognize this special occasion. PART TIME BOOKKEEPER NEEDED… Quick Books and Excel/Word preferred. 10-18 hours per week depending on the time of the years. Contact Dave Lorenzo or GW at (734)269-2773 SANCTUARY AIR CONDITIONING…It was voted on at the Annual Meeting to proceed with the completion of Phase 1 of the air conditioning project for the Sanctuary as soon as funds become available. Thank you! As of last month another $5000 was received and Phase I will proceed. Donations from this point on will go towards Phase II. Because of volunteers and electricians, we were able to save a few thousand dollars. Please visit the fundraising table in the Narthex and for a donation of $20 or more you can receive a fundraising Easter egg to decorate.

Youth Director Meagan Winkelman cell: 434.728.1427

OUR CONGREGATION IS IN NEED… of two delegates, one male, one female for this year’s Synod Assembly, May 11 & 12. This year’s Assembly will be in Detroit. Eagle Scout Ben Stadler had the original vision of transforming a room to be welcoming, comfortable, and designated for our youth. He brought that vision to fruition as his Eagle Scout project ~ten years ago. The necessity for storage cabinets has brought about the need for additional updating with a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, coordinating window treatment, and it’s time to clean the carpet. We appreciate Ben’s foresight with the initial remodel and now we thank the following people for continuing that vision. Cindy Durocher Tom Fruchey Dave Howard Dick & Marty Kamprath Diane Kerr Dick Leonard Dave & Faye Lorenzo Paul & Jeannine Marks Paul & Marilyn Ness Jim Roderick Ray Smith Don & Diane Winkelman Ron & Lynne Zabawa

Anticipated completion date is mid-April. Please stop in and check out this refreshed space of our Prince of Peace church facility.

There’s an opportunity for all youth of Prince of Peace to help other kids in our community that are homeless and staying in shelters. We’ve been assembling Easter baskets during our youth nights. The goodies will be delivered to Oaks of Righteousness just in time to make sure each child there gets

one. High school teens are encouraged to attend this month’s youth night and help their group with this service project. We’ll share a little fun and snacks, too!

LYO (9th-12th) Night is Thursday, March 29 - 6 PM Friends welcome!
