What is New India@75

A campaign has been initiated by GOI across all sectors to establish a concept of New India,with efficient, transparent and accountable governance. The concept of New India is based on:• First, development must become a mass movement,• Second, development strategy should help achieve broad-based economic growth to ensure

balanced development across all regions and states and across sectors.• Third the strategy when implemented will bridge the gap between public and private sector

performance

NACO through State AIDS Control Society in every state has developed a plan for launch of 3awareness campaigns to be implemented virtually in three phases in select Govt. Schools andColleges.

In 2022, India celebrates the 75th anniversary of its independence

New India @75 STATE LEVEL COMMITTEE

Roles & Responsibilities The State Level Committee will-

❑ Organize orientation and regular meetings.

❑ Prepare state level implementation plan and media plan.

❑ Issue directives to all stakeholders.

❑ Identify schools and colleges for flagging the campaign in phased manner in collaboration with Youth Depts.

❑ Identify Appointment of Nodal Officers from State Departments and Nodal Teachers of Schools and Colleges

❑ Finalize sub-activity along with dept. nodal officers to school and college nodal officers

Publicity of the campaigns-

❑ Letters to be sent to AIR and DD, Directors and heads of other TV/ radio channels/community radio for publicity of the campaigns.

❑ Special radio jingles and TVC may be conducted so as to create a buzz about the campaigns.

❑ AIR News and DD News to provide coverage of the campaign before and after the events. Other news channels may also be approached.

Programmatic Objective

To contribute in development of New India@75, National AIDS Control

Organization (NACO) may contribute through the launch of awareness

campaigns, in phased manner. Through these awareness campaign,activities will be organised by schools (9th & 11th Standard Students) and

Red Ribbon Clubs constituted in colleges. There are about 162 Red Ribbon

Clubs constituted in Goa.

Create a people-led movement.

To eliminate stigma & discrimination and create more inclusive environment for youth going to schools and colleges.

❑ Implementation plan for New India@75 along with guidance note for awareness generation campaigns for each theme i.e.HIV, TB and Blood Donation will be emailed to all Committee members.

❑ Hence we request to kindly facilitate the same by issuing necessary directions to the concerned Nodal officials and issuenecessary circulars to Nodal Teachers in schools and colleges.

❑ I am sure, under your guidance your Dept. will put best foot forward and achieve these milestones.
