Sushil Singh of VI B. Com won Bronze medal in Bangalore University Inter-collegiate Wrestling (86 Kg) event held at Acharya College on 7 January 2017 .

Cancer awareness Day Programme- Charts with messages inspiring positive hope, building faith and stimulating courage were prepared and put up for display by expressing their support and concern for the affected people across the globe on 9 January 2017.

Aids Awareness Day Programme was conducted. Around 100 students participated in a rally for raising awareness against AIDS, expressing empathy for the victims were prepared by the students of all the classes on 12 January 2017.

Literary Activity Programme- An excerpt from Swami Vivekananda Chicago Lectures was given to the students to read and recreate in three different genres. The judges for the events were Ms. Sayantani Banerjee, Head of the Department-B. Com, Ms. Sowmya J -Asst. Professor and Ms. Selvarani Paulraj- Asst.Professor on 12 January 2017

Inauguration of Extra-Curricular, Co-Circular Clubs- Team Tarang. The Club was addressed by Principal and he congratulated the student coordinators who took charge of various clubs on 18 January 2017.

Students of Literary Club participated at National level Inter Collegiate Fest "Arbitrium 2016-17" held at Jyoti Nivas College in various events on 18 and 19 January 2017.

Mr. Srirama M - Asst.Professor, Mr. Johnson PT Instructor and 50 Students participated in the State Level Valedictory function at Krishna Vihara, Place Grounds as a grand finale of a week-long program to celebrate 154th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda organised by Bangalore University on 18 January 2017.

Students of the literary club participated in the fest "Chakravyuh 2016-17" held at M.E.S Degree College of Art, Commerce and Science and also won the overall trophy. Prateek Mathur VI Sem BBA- Winner of Best Manager, Rohith V R- VI Sem B.Com and A Santosh Arvind- IV Sem BBA- Winners of Marketing, Sagar Selani - VI Sem BBA and Shephin C John - II Sem BBA winners of Humar Resource.

The Chief Guest for this year’s Annual Sports Day was Mr. Punith Krishnamurthy, a International Rugby player. The college had also invited Rahul Ghorai, an alumnus of NHC-M and three times champion for Discuss Throw and Shot Put under Bangalore University. The major sports events were relay race, long jump and 200/400 metres sprint for boys and girls. Besides these, the thrilling event of the day was the contact team game kabaddi of II vs. III-year degree students which the II-year degree students won by 2 points. The overall champions of the day

were Rakesh Kumar, VI BBA and Gayanashree, VI BBA.

VI Sem BBA/B. Com/ BCA Global Students went for an International Educational trip to Frankfurt, Cologne, Brussels and Paris along with Kasturi Nagar students accompanied by Dr.R. Bodhisatvan -Principal NHCM, Dr. Edwin Christopher Principal-NHCK and Ms. Sayantani Banerjee Head-Department of Commerce on 25 to 31 January 2017.

Guest Lecture was conducted on the topic -"5C's of Event Management" by Ms. Chandini Hemdev, Owner and founder of Purple Moon Events for IV Sem B. Com students on 27 January 2017.

Guest Lecture was organised on the topic "Web Development Using PHP" by Dipta Roy, Operations Executive, Infosys. Introduced the students to the topic for VI Sem BCA students 28 January 2017.

Our College Cricket (Boys) team participated in the Bangalore University Cricket Tournament at Central College Bangalore against City College, Jayanagar and won the match on 1 February 2017.

Installation ceremony of two Leo Clubs sponsored by the Lion's Club of Bangalore Host Viz Bangalore Host Neozonites Tempus and Bangalore Host Neozonites Locus was held at Chanakya Seminar Hall. The event witnessed the presence of Lion Alka Shah and her team. The new office bearers were sworn in for the year, the pledge was administered and pins were distributed on 9 February 2017.

Guest Lecture was organised on the topic "Python Language" by Mr. Shiva Subramanian-Operations Executive, on how simple the language was to work with for II Sem and VI Sem BCA Students on 11 February 2017.

Industrial visit to Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Ltd. under the supervision of Ms. Anusuya A Paul - Assistant Professor and Mr. Radheesh Johnson - PT Instructor for IV B. Com Executive Students was organised on 13 February 2017.

Our College Cricket (Boys) team participated in the Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament at Central College Bangalore against St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College, won the match and reached semi-finals 18 February 2017.

Tharun S IV Sem BCA student participated in the 18th All India sports Extravaganza VIE 2017 and the 2nd Intercollegiate Karate Championship in individual Kumite division and won Third prize held at Jain University, on 20 February 2017.

Just a Minute, Dumb Charades, Doodle Art, Spot light and Bibliophile events- TARANG 2016 conducted in Chanakya Seminar Hall, NHC on 23 February 2017.

Crisis Management Events, TARANG 2016 conducted in Chanakya Seminar Hall, NHC and Cooking without fire in Quadrangle on 28 February 2017.

2nd one day National Conference titled EMERGE-Evaluating Major Economic Responsibilities for Growth and Evolution: Analysing

Progressive India presented by IQAC was organised on 3 March 2017. Chief Guest was Dr.M. K Sridhar - Former Professor of Management, Bangalore University. The resource person of the first Technical session was Prof.Madhurjya Prasad Bezbaruah-Director of Guwahati University of North East India Studies and the resource person of second technical session was Mr. Vishwanath Akell, Co-founder and CEO at SimplyFI Softech.

Students went to Indian Academy College and registered for all the 3 events- Product Launch, Business Quiz and Best Manager on 9 March 2017. Product Launch event - First place was won by Abhishek Sarkar - VI Sem B. Com, Ashwin and Rajesh VI Sem BBA, Best Manager Event- Second place was won by Venkatraman II Sem B. Com and Business Quiz event - Second place was won by Koseleshwar Reddy. S Srinivas L R- II Sem B.Com.

College organised second inter-collegiate management fest SPARK-2017 was organised on 10 and 11 March 2017. 60 students from various college participated in the fest. Event Coordinator Mrs. Greeshma Francis-Asst.Professor presented a summary on events followed by the prize distribution. CMS Jain College won the overall trophy for SPARK-2017.

Our College Boys team participated in the State level 5 A Side Football Tournament organised by Cambridge Institute of Technology, Bangalore and won second prize on 11 March 2017.

The IV Semester students of B. Com (Professional & Global) went for a National Educational Tour to Goa along with Faculties, Mr. Srirama M-Asst.Professor, Ms. Divyashree-Asst Prof and Ms. Pratiksha Naik-Asst.Professor on 15 to 18 March 2017.

The IV Semester students of BBA (Professional & Global) and BCA (Global) went for a National Educational Tour to Goa on 20 to 23 March 2017 along with Faculties, Mr. Ranganatha B S -Asst.Professor, Mr. Rajesh H-Sr. Asst Prof and Ms. Prasanna Prakash -Sr. Asst.Professor and Nanditha Matad -Asst.Professor.

As part of curriculum and outreach activity, II B. Com Students (Kannada Language) were taken for a visit to Ravindra Kalashethra for cultural and Educational fest Ranga Shikshana on 23 March 2017.

NSS with the support of Shankara Eye Hospital conducted a free Eye check-up at college premises where in 275 students and faculties got their Eye check-up done on 23 and 24 March 2017.

Sagar R Selani VI BBA student Participated in RUDRAKSH-17 and won first prize in the event

"Vyakhya (Hire-Fire) on 24 March 2017.

Our College Boys team participated in the Basket Ball Tournament organised by Krupanidhi College, Bangalore and secured second place on 28 March 2017.

The VI Semester students of B. Com went for a National Educational Tour to Goa along with Faculty member Ms. Sowmya J-Asst.Professor on 29 to 1 March 2017.

Department of B. Com in association with literary club organised a power point presentation competition - B Quest on 31 March, 2017. First place won by Venkataraman V K- II Sem B. Com, second place won by - Likitha C and Ashutosh Kumar - II Sem B. Com, and third place won by Adarsh P Bordoloi, Sahil Jangra, Nidhish and Prateek Singh - II Sem B.Com.

Our College Boys cricket team participated in the Gully Cricket organised by MCA Dept. NHCE and secured first place on 3 April 2017.
