However, we must connue in faithfulness, holding ght to our hope in Christ. We must focus on the love and grace that God gives to us and to all the world. We must persevere with joy, knowing that we are Gods holy beloved children. We cannot do it alone, but God has given us His Holy Spirit and has made us part of His body, the Church. What a blessing to be a part of the body of Christ! Im reminded of these words in the hymn, Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living, just because He lives Now, more than ever, we need to remain unmoved in our hope. God is calling us to shine brightly in the darkness. I am cherishing every day in 2020, because these are the days the Lord has made and I will rejoice in them. I will live each day with purpose, looking for opportunies to share this hope that I have with others. When I share hope, I strengthen my own. When others receive hope, my joy is complete. Colossians 1:21-23

21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22 But now he has

reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.

It seems many people are ready for 2020 to be over, and I can easily imagine how they came to that conclusion. Our world, our country, and many of our friends and family have suffered loss in so many different forms. It is easy to become overwhelmed and discouraged and find ourselves questioning God. However, we must continue in faithfulness, holding tight to our hope in Christ. We must focus on the love and grace that God gives to us and to all the world. We must persevere with joy, knowing that we are God’s holy beloved children. We cannot do it alone, but God has given us His Holy Spirit and has made us part of His body, the Church. What a blessing to be a part of the body of Christ! I’m reminded of these words in the hymn,

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Because I know He holds the future

And life is worth the living, just because He lives

Now, more than ever, we need to remain unmoved in our hope. God is calling us to shine brightly in the darkness. I am cherishing every day in 2020, because these are the days the Lord has made and I will rejoice in them. I will live each day with purpose, looking for opportunities to share this hope that I have with others. When I share hope, I strengthen my own. When others receive hope, my joy is complete. When I think back to a time when I didn’t have hope, I praise God that He brought me to it in Jesus. Who needs to hear about your hope in Christ? Share Jesus with them today.
