Dr. Mills will be leading a study by Adam Hamilton entitled The Way in

Fellowship Hall. Using historical information, archaeological data, and stories of

the faith, this video series follows in the footsteps of Jesus from his baptism to

the temptations to the heart of his ministry, including the people he loved, the

parables he taught, the enemies he made, and the healing he brought. This

Lenten study will help you grow deeper in your faith, learn more about the life ofChrist, spend time daily reading and reflecting upon the Scriptures. Additionally,

you may read The Way (book; $20) or The Way: Forty Days of Reflection, ($6)

which is a devotional version. Let the church office know if you would like us to

    order either book for you.

Jana Lessard will be leading Embraced by God: Seven Promises for Every Woman in

room 110. Every woman longs to know that she is loved, accepted, and valued. Yet

many women struggle to understand and accept just how much God really loves them.

Drawing upon her own personal journey to understand how very much God loves hernot as a singer or teacher but as His beloved daughter, contemporary gospel singer

Babbie Mason equips women to accept Gods unfailing love as they understand and

claim seven biblical promises. 1. You are loved unconditionally by God; 2. You are

beautiful to God; 3. You are never alone; 4. You have everything you need in God; 5.

You have a God-given purpose; 6. You can accomplish great thi ngs in Gods name; 7.

You are equipped with unique gifts and talents. Each session will include a 20-30

minute video and a short discussion about the previous weeks homework.

Bill Motto will be leading Give Up Something Bad for Lent by James Moore in room

    111. During Lent each year, Christians give up something as an act of sacrifice and

spiritual discipline. Often it is something like chocolate, knowing that after Easter Sunday

they can once again enjoy what they have given up. James Moore challenges readers to

take it further-to give up something spiritually that they would be better off not doing.

He invites all to seek Gods help to focus on eliminating one habit or attitude that is

destructive. Imagine giving up envy, jealousy, self-pity, apathy, procrastination, gossip,

resentment, or negative thinking, how much better life would be. This is an ideal time to

    take this study.
