Script Guidelines“ So how many words does a 60 seconds explainer video needs?”
When responding to requests to design custom animated explainer videos, on of the most important expectation to manage is the duration of the video. A common rule of thumb we provide is the script word count to video duration formula :
Plan on about 30 seconds of video for each 75 words in your script.
On avarage reading speed, our voice actors can read 3 words per second. This means that on avarage it will be 180 words per minute.However, taking account to some pauses needed to emphasis a scene,as well as different choice of words, we found that we deliver a 60 secondsvideo with 150 to 165 words on avarage reeding speed.
