Connect external PSU unit to NetPilot unit. 6. Switch on power to NetPilot and observe Ready LED on front panel. 7. Once the NetPilot is operational power up your PC to undertake initial configuration. Note: LAN3 is used for DMZ or other separate connection and can be configured later. Getting Started – Physical Connection

1. Remove unit from packaging.2. Site the NetPilot in a suitable location without blocking any of the unit’s air ventilation.3. If using a direct connection between the PC (from which you will configure the unit) and the NetPilot

utilising a crossover cable - connect LAN cable to NetPilot port LAN1. If using straight cables with ahub or switch, again connect LAN cable to port LAN1 on NetPilot unit.

Getting Started – Logon as NetPilot AdminAssumes use of Windows PC and latest IE browser.These instructions relate to NetPilots running V6 software.

Note: V6 systems use port 443 for the new NeoAccel SSL VPN-Plus portal. You may bypass this facility and go direct to thestandard NetPilot Admin screens by explicitly using port 8443 as follows: https://netpilot:8443 or https://10.0.0.1:8443or as shown in point 4 below. Initial configuration requires use of the native NetPilot admin facility.

1. Configure PC to receive IP address and DNS settings via DHCP from the NetPilot.2. Remove any proxy settings from your PC browser.3. The NetPilot unit default address is 10.0.0.14. Type into your browser http://netpilot or http://10.0.0.15. Browser should then display the screen shown below:

6. Select Continue to this website (not recommended)7. The NetPilot default configuration logon details are: Username: admin Password: password8. You should now see the Intranet home page:

9. Click on the Log in link.10. You will then be prompted to input the administrator username and password.11. Enter the default username/password (as given above) to log in.

12. Once logged in, you should change your username and password for security purposes. Use thefirst link option in middle of the main menu screen.

13. If your WAN side internet router/modem is set up in a suitable fashion, then it will automaticallyprovide the NetPilot with IP address information and you should be able to browse externally.

14. If this is not the case you will have to manually configure the LAN2 software configuration to becompatible with your router. This is achieved using the Connectors link – the second option in themiddle of the main menu screen. See below:

15. Both LAN1 and LAN2 will be initially set as Quick Configuration (as shown below). These settingswill need amending depending on your connected LAN types, addresses and types of operation.

Using the new NeoAccel PortalNote: Before using the portal ensure you have the latest version of Java on your PC– go to www.java.com

Also ensure that compatibility mode is used if your browser is IE8.
