SCISSORS: The original style of Mermaid scissors was only

available in silver. Now this style is also available in the black

primitive finish.

Of this, designer, Paula says, “I think the primitive finish just

enhances the scales on the back of the mermaid”.

Threads: Silk ‘n Colours by The Thread Gatherer continued:

Designs: It has been a while since Sandie of The Sweetheart Tree has published any new designs. She had a nasty mishap - just slipping - and the result was

a very badly broken ankle necessitating major surgery to hold it all together with plates and pins, months recuperating in a wheelchair and on crutches and all

this was followed by the sale of their home, the finding and purchasing of another, and the unenviable task of packing up and moving into this new home.

Consequently good reasons for no time for designing for a while. The latest designs are featured below and are as lovely as ever.

Note: Sandie is no longer packaging her designs as kits. Only chart packs - that is, design and embellishments.
