On or about 3:40 PM, 29 July 2011, a tornado occurred in Brgy. San JosePaombong, Bulacan with four (4) families affected and four (4) housesdamaged

On 28 July 2011, a motorized banca with eight (8) fishpond workers on
board capsized between the waters of Hagonoy, Bulacan and PampangaDelta due to big waves and strong winds. Six (6) of the workers survived
Region VI
On or about 6:00 AM, 31 July 2011, MV Trans Asia Malaysia fromCebu, with 110 passengers and 45 crew on board, was strandedbetween Negros and Iloilo waters, leaning on its side and was orderedto abandon ship. PCG Region VI mobilized the following assets toconduct SAR operations: six (6) motorized bancas, one (1) BantayDagat, MV Pilipinas Princess and MT Pilipinas of PCG craft. A total of 642 families /3,158 persons were affected in 8 Barangays, 4 municipalitiesand one (1) city in Bulacan Province Region III
There were 204 families / 967 persons housed inside six (6) designated evacuationcenters. However, as of to 31, July, 2011, a total of 38 families / 144 persons are

NDRRMC OpCen prepared anddisseminated NDRRMC Advisories on SevereWeather Bulletins, Flood Bulletins for River Basin and Allied Rivers, GeneralFlood Advisories on Typhoon KABAYAN; and Gale Warnings, to allChairpersons RDRRMC, PDRRMC, and OCD Regional Centers through SMSand facsimileanduploaded the same at the NDRRMC website, Facebook, andTwitter accounts for further dissemination to their respective local Disaster RiskReduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down tothe municipal levels
Directed RDRRMCs concerned through the OCD Regional Centers to undertakeprecautionary measures in their respective areas of responsibility (AOR) and
subsequently advised local DRRMCs to initiate pre-emptive evacuation offamilies in low-lying and mountainous areas if situation warrants
