(Click on “IR Scanner Orders”)

If you do not have an account, click on “Sign up for an account” and follow the directions.

Click on “Login”

(Go to “Create a new Request” Use the drop down menu and select “Blank Request” OR select from list of fires.OR, click on the pointer in the map)

(Incident Number: “CA-MNF-7878”) (P Number: “P5A7B4”) (Incident Name: “Fork Fire”) (“A” Number: “A-34”. Assign in ROSS) (Over ride: Example“0510”) (Created By: Name of person)The following fields (shown with a red asterisk) must be filled with some information or you will not be able to submit the order: Incident Number, Incident Name, Project Number, and Ordering Unit. The A# . (Fill out Incident InformationSome can be filled in by Incident or IRIN when assigned)

(This is the IRIN who was ordered by the incident (O-number), it could be GACC IR Liaison or someone already assigned to the GACC, check with Intel.) (GACC IR Liaisons:.Highlight GACC: Name to select. Contact information will be filled in.)

(Scan Box Information:If you have the four sides to the “BOX” around the fire you add that under “Add Manually” Go clockwise around the fire. Click on “Save”Multiple boxes can be input per orderIf coordinates aren’t entered a prompt will appear. (if coordinates are not yet know, just enter zeros)) (Requested Flight Time: Usually “2300” or “2400”IR Deliverables Locations: Usually filled in by Incident or IRIN)

(You can also draw the “BOX” with Google Maps tool. Zoom in and out and around. Click in map area to display initial box from “Requests” (if any)Moving the red pointers so the “BOX” covers the fire.Lat/Lon will appear when you hover over pointersAnd “Save” when you are complete)

(After clicking “Save” the box will display for editingBox displays for both “Add Manually” and “Add by Google Maps”You can edit it afterwards or delete and try again.)

(Click in the “Comments” box to add remarks if needed.)

(To check the status of a request that has been entered click on “Queue”)

(On this screen you can see all the requests that have been entered for the past few days and if they have been assigned and to which plane.)

Orders can also be checked from the Queue. Click “options” and “Output PDF”

The PDF has a simple graphic with the coordinates displayed on the sides of the box

If you need to retrieve and submit an “Archived” Scan Order:

(Got to “Queue” and find the orderIf necessary, click on “Show Archived Orders”Click “edit” and edit the orderClick on “Submit as new flight request”)

Update versus Submit: There is a difference!

(Update Existing Request:If you change a phone number, or contact name, or A#, click on “Update Existing Request”Submit as new flight request:When you receive the IR request for the night (first night, second night, etc.), click on “Submit as new flight request”IR orders must be submitted every day There are no standing IR orders. That is a myth!)

REMEMBER: You still need to place a request in ROSS to generate an “A” number for each flight as well as order an IRIN.
