NATIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOL, KENGERI, BENGALURU
REPORT ON FIELD TRIP FOR GRADE-IX TO XI
National Public School, Kengeri organised a 3 days Field Trip to students
of Grade 9th, 10th & 11th to the historical places Chitradurga, Hospet and
Hampi.
Students were super excited to be a part of this journey as they longed to
learn beyond textbooks.
Students along with teachers started their journey on 16th Nov, 2018
Friday at 6:15 am and reached the destination i.e, Chitradurga Fort
around 11 am. Further, students explored the fort and tried to learn that it
is one of the biggest hidden gem surprises from India’s monument treasure
trove. The fort that perched on the hilltop made the students’ adrenaline in
high spirits. The day one experience was indeed a memorable one.
Students on the second day were set to experience the rocky hilly terrain
i.e., Hampi. While getting down the hill students found a magnificent
temple - the Virupaksha Temple. Students sought the blessing of the lord
almighty. Later, students also visited the nearby temples in the vicinity
like Giant Shiva Linga, Ugranarasimha Statue & Kadalekalu Ganesha. Of
course all these rocky carved structures found in the devastated state due
to war fares in the past made students ponder over the matter. At the
same time students were flabbergasted with the huge sculptures of
Vijayanagara Dynasty especially the Hampi Chariot.
Adding on to the element of joy, students celebrated the birthday of their
friends on 17th Nov, 2018 with lots of happiness. Students reached
Bangalore on 18h Nov, 2018 at 5 am. Indeed the trip was a memorable one
for students as well as teachers who accompanied 85 students. Of course,
the trip paved way for students to elevate their spirits, engage and explore
as avid learners.
