The United States Marines have been a special part of the annual DG2 Holiday Revue Per-formance for 17 years. The Marines will be present again this year and the DG2 is proud to be involved with the US Marines Toys For Tots Foundation and support our men and women in uniform. What a great time of the year as we prepare for our annual Holiday Revue performance. All of our teachers are so proud of their dancers and can hardly wait to show them off onstage. Show night, dancers should arrive at Center High School Theater, 3111 Center Court Lane, in Antelope, ready to go onstage wearing their Dance Gallery 2 leotard or T-shirt. All dancers should arrive at least ½ hour before scheduled show time. The Holiday Revue show times are 6:00 and 7:30, and proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Sutter Children’s Center Child Life Program. The Child Life Program is known for its compassion and under-standing of seriously and ter-minally ill children and their families.

The Dance Gallery 2 has shared this relationship with Child Life for 27 years and our dancers are very proud of this event’s “spirit of giving” during the holiday season!

The Dance Gallery 2 is proud to have the opportunity to work with the United States Marine Corps and their “Toys for Tots” project as part of our Holiday Revue performance. Toys for Tots distributes Christmas gifts to less fortunate families in our communities so that every child may have a Merry Christmas. The DG2 is honored to to be able to assist the U.S. Marines with this worthy foundation.

We do anticipate a “sold out house” for our Holiday Revue. To accommodate all of our Dance Gallery 2 families, we will have two performances. Please carefully check the enclosed performance schedule to see which show your dancer is participating in (6:00 pm or 7:30 pm show). Invite all your family and friends to come see our dancers and be part of this years’ wonderful Holiday Revue event. We are so proud of all of the DG2 dancers!

Our DG2 Student Teachers group does more than just work in the classes as volunteers, they also have so many different events and opportu-nities. They've visited the Sutter Children’s Center Child Life Program and got a tour of the new facility. The Student Teachers presented the children in the hospital with stage costumes to play dress up and enjoy. And don’t forget, proceeds from our Holiday Revue per-formance benefit the Child Life Program, a very worthy cause! This i s the Season to share and be joyful !

Our DG2 parade dancers have been making people smile as they performed in their beautiful festive holiday costumes. They were definitely a dazzling sight in the annual Loomis Day Before Thanksgiving parade in downtown Loomis. The dancers will also be seen on TV Tuesday December 4th when Good Day Sacramento visits the DG2 to do a feature story about our incredible dance school and our upcoming Holiday Revue. The DG2 Parade dancers will be interviewed by Good Day Sacramento, anchor Dina Kupfer. Dina is a former DG2 dancer!

Rehearsals are a very important part of prepar-ing for a performance. Many of our dancers will be onstage for the very first time, and re-hearsals help the dancers understand what it is like to be in front of an audience. The rehearsal schedule is enclosed and also on our website www.dancegallery2.com.

***Also, please note that the rehearsals take place at the Center High School Theater. We realize this could be inconvenient, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation. Everyone will benefit and our show will be even better!

Food and drinks are not permitted at Center High School Theater at any time. Bottled water is permitted.

On December 8, twenty four of our award-win-ning parade dancers will represent Northern California and the DG2 in Disney’s Dance the Magic Merry Holiday Parade down Disney-land’s Main Street U.S.A. Under the direction of DG2 teacher Summer Cedarleaf, our dancers are looking great and are a proud representation of the Dance Gallery 2. It’s sure to be an exciting and memorable event!

What to wear . . .

In class, dancers wear Dance Gallery 2 leotards or leotards of any style or color, with tights, ankle socks, jazz pants or sweat pants, and when the weather gets colder, a sweat shirt over the leotards. Boys wear t-shirts with bike pants, jeans or sweat pants. Most department stores carry dancewear, including Walmart and Target.

Tights (pink or tan) and ballet skirts (plain pink or black) for Thursday Technical Ballet 1, 2, 3, 4 and Pointe classes. All Dance Gallery 2 dancers must wear black DG2 dancewear onstage during the Holiday Revue performance in December.
